I bought this monitor about a month ago and I am loving it - I found this for $1000 + shipping (or free C&C) which I think is a great deal!

Surcharges: 0% for bank deposit, Afterpay & Zip Money. 1.2% for VISA / MasterCard & PayPal. 2.2% for AmEx.

There is also a promotion to receive $50 e-gift card per $500 spent: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/937165

  • This or the HP Omen 32" QD-OLED for a smidge less than $1k?

    • You will get $100 e-gift card through the Asus one though, if that's a value add for you

      • Possibly, is the gift card just an EFTPOS card that can be used for anything? In that case this one makes more sense for sure, it will put $100 towards the GPU upgrade

Great price but it's criminal that they put DP1.4 on this

Why though? DP1.4a (DSC) works perfectly fine and there's been no tests showing any visual differences to my knowledge

      • Visually it's okay but creates issues like having long black-screen delays when alt+tabbing, flickering with multiple monitors etc

    • DP 1.4 is the reason it's a few hundred bucks cheaper than the PG27.
The XG27 is basically the same panel but without DP 1.4 and Dolby Vision.
The PG 27 has DP 2.1 if you really want it: https://www.centrecom.com.au/asus-rog-swift-oled-pg27ucdm-27…

  • Over the past couple of months, I’ve gone all-in on ROG — cooler, motherboard, PSU, monitor, and most recently the GPU. Finally finished the setup and just applied for the ASUS GPU promo, only to realize every other ROG part I bought is just outside the promo window.

What really hurts is that the 32" ROG 4K 240Hz monitor I grabbed from the JB Hi-Fi sale was still on sale when this promo dropped a couple of days later. I didn’t have time to return and rebuy since it was already shipped and my schedule’s pretty tight.

Feels a bit rough missing out on hundreds in promo value after spending thousands on their products so recently. Anyone know if ASUS might make an exception if I show them all the receipts and proof of purchase? Would be nice if they tossed something my way — even a mouse pad or sticker pack for emotional support 😅.

That's if people even receive there promo vouchers. haven't heard of any successful claims
