Looks to be the full range of colours and an ok amount of local stock (I am VIC). You can knock $10 off with Good Guys price beat or a JB Perks voucher. Don't forget the usual gift cards and/or GG cashback if it comes up to a decent discount any time soon.

Sadly missed out on that one too.

I landed one but as a user id have appreciated bigger battery over processing.

The newer modem in the P9 over P9a should help with overall battery consumption, as the modem isn't working as hard, heating up to maintain a certain quality of connection. I think the higher screen quality in the P9 puts a dent in the battery consumption though.

@ozhunter68: If you mean size, yeah, but:
P9: Type OLED, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1800 nits (HBM), 2700 nits (peak)
P9a: Type P-OLED, HDR, 120Hz, 1800 nits (HBM), 2700 nits (peak)I just meant that the OLED vs P-OLED might be responsible for more battery usage from the P9
Article I read yesterday: https://www.androidauthority.com/pixel-9a-battery-life-test-…
Overall I'd still prefer the P9 simply for not using the faulty modem Pixels have been using since P6, even if it is still an Exynos modem.

@thatnewtechsmell: Haha,….oh,….I missed that 1 letter which may or not make a difference. I am no screen expert that's for sure. And have no real world experience, except for that my hardly used Pixel 7 battery is not much better than my trusty old Pixel 3XL which has had a few years of solid use.

Not as good as $99 from amazon germany

My order details showed a watch strap.
Did you get a pixel 9? /s
Order details show a phone

@U30004: Be aware that on this sort of "wrong item" scam, paypal etc will keep giving themselves more time to respond to your complaint.. and sometimes they time out and the seller has emptied account so there's nothing to reclaim (and scammer is using a diff account). Just fyi. be noisy AF if you need to

Hi Vic!
Hi Dad!

so what is the difference between the 9 and 9a?

Main reason I'm after a 9 (or 9Pro) is they finally updated the Samsung modem in it, so it heats up less, and has better connectivity, and thus better battery.

I can comment past LOL on this price.

Oh…. daddy.

Can or can't?

HODL

I bought one earlier, thought it would be an "upgrade" from my Moto 30 Edge Ultra.
Sadly, not much of an upgrade - the ram is 8gb instead of 12gb, so I am finding most apps to reload every time I launch them.
At least I should get android security updates for a few years to come.
Yeah, I have two phones. A Pixel 8 and a Motorola G84, which cost 1/4 what I paid for the P8. The P8 is better, but only slightly.

have moto g60 fusion, was cheaper than this, would to be pixel xl with a big screen to make me change, else not much of an upgrade.

I used a Moto G82 for the last 3 years after buying it as a temporary replacement for my smashed Pixel 6 Pro. I've finally switched back to the repaired Pixel for whatever use I can get out of it now, but my next phone will be another cheap Motorola. There's no point in spending more.

Pixel surly would have better camera….

Didn’t like pixel weird battery’s were so so .. so grabbed a S24 in it’s place happier .

In 4 the early comment

5th comment, too slow

Still got front page

Should be the standard price

Purchased previously for use with graphine. If you know you know!

i dont know can you elaborate

I would like to try the GraphineOS, but at this price point not the Pixel 9 as per last Telstra on sale, :(

there is a contingent of guys on this site who really, really hate pixel phones

Those that have owned one

The biggest problem they have is delayed notifications IMO, sometimes you won't get any until you unlock your phone.

to be fair that is a pretty (profanity) big problem to some people. it's almost as if it's like 80% of the point of a phone.

not sure why, i once owned a pixel phone, worked did what it was supposed to. cost a premium over some other options but that’s why there is more than one brand, some want camer, some want screen quality, some want updates, depends on priority of features you want.

This or wait for thr s24FE to come back down to $600ish - had a good run months back but now skyrocketed in price with no recent deals over past week on Samsung?
Pretty much just after good camera. No gaming etc.
…can't say I've had a good run with samsung. Last two have crapped out and current s21 - been fully rebuilt twice under warranty. And now not charging again.

Idk. 9a is a reasonable step down from the 9. I'd go for a base 9 or wait for a great 9 pro deal.
I personally wouldn't go for a 10, it added a telephoto etc but 10s tensor isn't as amazing as it was hyped to be and battery somehow took a hit. Primary camera is from the 9a from memory too on the 10 rather than the better 9.
9, 9 pro imo, or 10 pro for latest but might be a while til we get a suck 699 Telstra deal haha.
I'm a pixel boi tho, so Samsung is generally automatically out for me. XD

587 with price check @the goodguys

OP did mention that in the description 🙄

Sorry, my bad!

Paid 480 post cashback just 2 months ago, not bad for that price.

I wish they let me not be common, not restricted, nor quarantine in their upcoming Obsidian… IYKYK

got one of these and started using it today, it has been at or above 32°C for 12 hours whether in use or not. anyone know is this normal or should i return it because something's wrong with it?

Does ont seem normal - mine does not run hot unless wireless charging (normal).

Bought an iris 9a 128GB at JB Hi-Fi Bundall last Monday, they had plenty in stock under the display counter and out the back of the store.
Always have been happy with the pics I take with a Pixel, first an Optus 3 for $499, then a Telstra pre-paid 7 for $249 and now a 9a.

527 with Good Guys with price beat and code BD2025

Yes just bought with 3x $20 Good Guys Store cash for $467+$5 delivery!

Code doesn't work for me.

I think it was yesterday only

Sadly not as good as the Telstra pixel 9 for $549. Gone quckly though.
