From $10 credit on $200 gift card spend to $10 credit on $250 spend. Amazon, what's going on?

They do the bare minimum, it's not new and they have tried worse.

I thought I'd look and see you are mostly negative, not surprising psychology dictates this. Take care alone.

missed out on the last bonus, ordered this one simply because I'll be buying a few things for christmas, makes sense to get the discount this time around

My wallet needs some time to recover after the last few weeks…..

  • Applied the promotion, it said I'd get the discount and the item was in my cart. Went to check out and no mention of promotion. Bought anyway - and received promotion. So in short, don't let the lack of "Discount applied" message at checkout put you off (like it almost did with me).

    Is it over?
I am getting "Something went wrong and this promotion isn’t currently available."

    • Update: works now.

  • The code didn’t work .. no confirmation that you will get $10 as a promo or discount.
But got the promo credit within few minutes of purchase of GC just now.

  • I've tried different gift cards that say its eligible but when I apply the code I get The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • Me too. Perhaps it's exceeded the number of redemptions

      • Actually the process isnt well explained.
It seems when you select the card you need to look out for "Redeemed" prompt which supposedly means you will get the credit.
Once you have made your purchase you will get a email notification shortly after the gift card arrival email that your credit is added to your account. When you make a purchase of an item that comes from Amazon Au you will then see the promocode GCDEC10 applied at checkout which takes $10 off the order. So the code is meant for future purchases not the Gift Card itself. EPIC FAIL!

  • Do these stack?

As in, can I buy 5 of them at once and get $50 credit?

Or do I have to buy 5 individually? And does that even work?
