Not talking about this one off specific deal but instead the concept of using BNPL for Uber which is already way more expensive due to fees.

@EitherWayUp: As the other commenter pointed out, you typically end up saving 30-40% on these promotions and it saves you the trip. I try to avoid delivery apps in general, but from a financial perspective, a deal like this is just good sense to use.
Can't you use the Afterpay card on your phone in store?

You also don't need to use afterpay if you are paying the amount with GC. Just switch it to GC.

Possibly targeted? I tried using the code on an $40 order with afterpay selected as payment method and it said I didn't meet the conditions for the promotion.
Try adding the code on the Promotion menu. If it's added successfully, then you are eligible for promotion. Something with your item(s)/store may be the issue
I added a few more things and it let me add the code, and then when I removed those items it still let me apply it. Weird but I did get it working eventually.

If you claimed a free Uber One membership using your Commbank card, the condition of that membership is to use your Commbank card at checkout, hence why the delivery benefit from Uber One disappears when you don't use that card.

Normally you just get the money back to the og payment method
More often than not now I find if the item refund brings the subtotal under $40 the discount doesn't apply.
Some retailers allow you to pre choose between refund, similar replacement or replacement of your choice when something's out of stock.

You can't add Afterpay to wallet if items are in cart, so clear cart first. Had to then uninstall app and reinstall before Afterpay could be used. Worked eventually.

I changed my email address for Afterpay account, same email with my Uber Eats account. Disable adblocker. I removed Afterpay in Uber Eats and re-added it again. I use Wise virtual card number for Afterpay account, deducted almost $5.76 no problem during payment for Uber Eats with Afterpay.
