Any chance for discount on the swim one?

    • +13

      Hey @HKHansson,
We don’t have the same movement available on the SwimPro’s but here’s a code for 11% off advertised price.

      HS11

Should bring it down to $213.60 at time of comment.
Shokz OpenSwim Pro - Grey / Red

      Hope this helps!

      Cheers,
      Travis

    • I wouldn't recommend it. The music goes in and out as you swim and go for air.

      • +6

Lol you have to wear earplugs

        • its still the same with it

          • @cerealsmok3r: I personally have no issues. Loud splashing sounds obviously can interfere but I just swim silently

      • contrary, can very much recommend the swim pros, I don't wear earplugs with em and they're great for swimming and running

        • Can you elaborate. Want to use in the pool but prefer to avoid earplugs. Your saying you can swim and no problems?

          • +4

@toecutter69: Yep, obviously would sound better with earplugs cos of the water sloshing around your ears, but I enjoy them for music in the water without. They come with a swim specific EQ switch that decreases the bass, but I just use it on the default mode.

They sound probably a bit better doing free vs breaststroke since your entire head doesn’t leave the water on breathing, but if you’re working moderately hard it’s just like normal swimming with water noise, and then music that plays sorta “inside your head”

I wear them where my cap on top pushes them onto the bone, but the band part behind sticks out below the cap. No problems for pretty intense 1-1.5hr swims, been using them 3-5x/wk for the past year.

      • Do u have the open swim pros?

  • +6

    Nice.

These are decent on quiet backroads / running paths etc.

Forget it if you are running on a main road. You won't be able to hear anything.

    • Probably a good thing to be about to hear ICE vehicles when they consistently fail to give way to pedestrians when turning

    • Good to know, thank you.

      Shokz OpenFit 2+ - Black / Grey

Brings it down to $240.30 at time of comment.

      Cheers,

    • It was way cheaper just last weekend, deal for like 180 and then it dropped same day to like 165.

      • +6

        Hi @Ironic fear
Just found it, you are right price was cheaper (lower than our buy price even).

I believe it ultimately comes down to a person’s preference and risk tolerance - if they don’t mind purchasing a global variant from overseas with a warranty which most likely will be dealt with the overseas seller instead of Shokz Australia.

We follow the official purchasing channels, and more importantly pay our taxes here. Any order through us would keep the money circulating in our Australian economy.

Note this isn’t about pushing anyone to pay more or buy from us, just sharing the facts. We’d naturally welcome your order and would love the opportunity to serve you, but we’re definitely not here to twist arms.

        Cheers,
        Travis

I dont trust Certified Original on expensive item in aliexpress.

        • I mean that's up to you, I contacted shokz to confirm the store is selling legit items (another user posted they did which made me do the same) they said it was, so I bought them, I know have them and have used the item number to register for the warranty just fine.

Each to their own though, but personally I prefer to pay $140ish with cashback

  • The sound is cracking, right after 2 years on my v1.

    • Did you drop them hard at any point?

  • Anyone for my son. He's thirteen so was only hoping to spend around $50-100?

    • +3

A bone conduction one? For that price try one of the ones off Temu or AliExpress. I have no specific recommendation but your son can hunt around the various cheap headphone review sites and come up with a couple. They work pretty good, just likely to be less solid / well built

      • +1

Recommend the AliExpress route in that price range.
Got a pair for <$100 that has both BT for streaming, and onboard storage (and water resistance) for swimming, unlike Shokz which seem to have either one or the other, but not both, and for more than double the price.
Sound quality is a little better on the Shokz (noticeable at least on the JB sample sets, but not night & day difference), compared to the mid-range model I have, but like a poster above said, in wind or at speed you're not going to be hearing all that much regardless. Build quality & comfort is on par with the Shokz.
Had an entry level model before that that did the job, but which was lacking in both sound and build compared to both the current set & Shokz, this was suprisingly replaced under warranty after I sent back the faulty pair back and paid the difference to go up a model.
Fault was a design flaw where the buttons were covered by a small piece of rubber that eventually started coming off, current model don't have that issue.

    • +1

      Hi @daven1985,

Have a look at the Shokz OpenMove’s also.

      Cheers,
      Travis

    • I use both shokz openrun pro 2 and raycon bone conduction. (I drive up to 13 hours a day and use both to listen to music/podcasts and talk to family on the phone, when charging one set I use the other)

If you don't mind spending a little more id advise getting the raycons they have a bassier and meatier sound compared to the shokz, a slightly more muddy sound but well worth the price. I do suffer from ear fatigue using the raycons but the trade off is it's half the price for a very good build quality.
I've tried the cheap stuff from AliExpress and Temu and unless it's Xiaomi don't bother.

      Cheers.

    • +1

Very frequently Edifier Comfo Run goes on sale on amazon for $49. They are in every way superior to any shokz in my opinion. They have insane bass than any shokz which I love.

  • Any deals for Shokz OpenDots ONE Open Ear True Wireless Earbuds? Keen on those

    • Hi @MoneyHacks,

Try code HS11, now updated to include the Dots.
Should bring it down to $236.74 at time of comment.

I’ve had Xiaomi bone conduction earphones from Aliexpress and was given a Shokz Openrun Pro a few months ago, slightly better sound quality and build, but otherwise i’d just sticks with the Xiaomi which were only like $10 delivered

    • +1

I have the same Xiaomi ones, they were 16.93 delivered, and great for my first bone conduction headphones.

I'm only thinking of upgrading for mic quality, the Xiaomi sounds boomy and like you're 5m away, these ones sound good and crisp.

    • Agree,i went through 2 shocks, that died after a year, year and a half. Quite disappointing quality. Same happened to my mate. Xiamo sounds identically bad, but at a fraction of a price

    • good suggestion. I had openshokz for about $200. Lasted a couple years but in the end I think the sweat got into them. Buy Xiaomi for ~$15 and even if they only last 6 months it will be less disappointing. I was pretty satisfied with the audio quality of the aftershokz though. Will be interesting to see if Xiaomi is much different. Bone conduction headphones are never going satisfy audiophiles. They're okay at mid range and base, so good for listening to podcasts while running or cycling, but might not be good for music if you're particularly fussy about audio quality.

  • Would recommend Sony Float Runs as an alternative. For an exercise headphone they're not bad, apart from average bass.

    • ATL is $208 delivered but needed prime membership. Is there a better deal you've seen with this model?

      • I've said it before but I'll say it again. An ATL does not make it a good deal. But rather based on historical prices of Shokz products. $209 is not yet considered a good deal in my book.

      • +2

It's been around $203-$208 a number of times, and twice under $200. This is a good price but not amazing

  • I have a friend who works in a bicycle shop that sells these. He says out of everything in the shop these are returned defective more than anything else. Not a great comparison given most of the other things are bicycle parts but it gave me pause.

  • That just reminded me that my open runs had had issues dropping in and out for a few months. Does anyone know what the warranty period are on these normally from this store?

    • Hi @Kiz

These come with the original manufacturer warranty. If you could please let me know your order #, I will have our CS team contact you ASAP.

      Cheers,
      Travis

  • Code that works for Pro 2 ORANGE?

    • Hi @RapidWrench,

Code HS16 should be working on all Pro 2 colours. Please let me know if any issues.

      Cheers,
      Travis

  • if mini is too small , can we swap with regular size?

    • Hi @RichieVn,

I understand it may be a tough decision to pick the right size without trying first. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to swap an unsealed pack as we cannot onsell it afterwards as brand new nor return to Shokz under warranty.

I would highly recommend to try in store first if you have any of the Shokz displays in one of the JB, Harveys, etc. retail stores nearby.

Apologies, I couldn't be of more help here.

      Best wishes,
      Travis

    • If you buy on Shokz, you can return for whatever reason.

  • also are the mini speakers still available?

    • Yep, in stock currently.

      Cheers,
      Travis

      • Ok ordering now thanks

      • ORDER #HS34247
Can you confirm if I will get the mini speaker please?

        • Thank you for your support, order is received. It came through for the normal size. Confirming, you want to have it swapped with the Mini version - correct?
          Cheers,
          Travis

          • @Gravitech: Sorry yes I want the shokz open run pro 2 mini please

          • @Gravitech: Hello did you manage to change it to the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Mini in black ?

            • @RichieVn: Yep, all updated and dispatched! You should've received tracking details already. If it is not the case, do let me know will have it fixed.
              Enjoy the weekend.

              Cheers,
              Travis

      • Hi there, just bought one mini too ORDER #HS34786Can you confirm if I will get the mini speaker please? Thanks OP

        • Hi @FilthyAngels,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s! Thank you for your support. It is truly appreciated.
Apologies, we have completely sold out of the mini speaker. We are sorry for any disappointment this might cause. Hope it is not much of an issue.

          Best wishes,
          Travis

  • JB unfortunately doesn't have mini to try.

I like snug fit. I have already checked the size for the mini. If it turns out to be a loose fit, am I able to return it?

    • Hi @PeeDee,

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year’s!
As much as we would love to, unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to swap an unsealed pack. Shokz do not support us to return change of mind items. Apologies I couldn’t be of more help.

      Best wishes,
      Travis

  • Hi @Gravitech
I just ordered Order #HS34797 - can you please confirm if this include mini speaker please? :) Thanks OP

    • Hi @Manameck,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s!
Thank you for your support, we truly appreciate it.

Apologies, we have completely sold out of the mini speaker. I am sorry for any disappointment this might cause. I hope I could be of more help but we do not have any alternatives to include either.

      Best wishes,
      Travis

  • Hi @Gravitech, just order #HS34818 , can you conform if you can add the speakers please? :-) thank you

    • Hi @Karenbella78,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's! We really appreciate your support.

I'm sorry to share that we've completely sold out of the mini speaker. I wish I had better news or a direct alternative to offer you but unfortunately we're all out.

Thanks for understanding, and all the best!

      Best wishes,
      Travis

      • Not a problem thank you for letting me know :-)

  • I bought these and found the call quality/bluetooth so bad I returned them for a refund from Officeworks.

    • You're lucky you bought from Officeworks. How were you able to return it? Their returns is if in unused unopened condition.
      They seem nice.
      @Gravitech @ Horizon Store (Gravitech)

      • That doesn't sound legal to me? If a product isn't fit for purpose you don't know that until you've opened it and used it…? I returned mine with the packaging but used a handful of times and told them very directly that the audio quality for music is fine but the bluetooth for phone calls is garbage and had no trouble returning it at my local store.

  • +1

i personally dont get the popularity with these. my dad has a pair which i tried, and the sound is dreadful - to the point i'd rather just run without any music on if thats what i had to listen to.

    • +1

Exactly my thoughts. JBL Soundgear Sense easily beats these. Overhyped product. Edifier Comfo Run as well. Costs $50 and insanely better than these

  • +1

I want a refund. It is so bad. I can't even hear anything when running in the streets.
How are marathon runners advertising these? Because if I were to use these in a race, I wouldn't be able to hear music.
I can't believe I bought a $200 headphone that feels like something a generic off garage sale.
I feel like I've been ripped off.

    • Hi @PeeDee,

Can you please share with me your order #? I will look into this personally.

      Many thanks,
      Travis

      • @Gravitech @ Horizon Store (Gravitech)
        Hi Travis,

        HS34798

  • I regret having bought from these guys. i used the headphone about three times mainly cycling. I can put up with the quality considering safety on the road of higher priority. But i got so much pain at my left ear where the headphone made contact that i had trouble opening mouth for food and drink. It is still within 30 days, but their Customer Success Manager replied saying 'the product is functioning correctly', which is BS.

Now i am stuck with a over 200 bucks headphone that i can not use. So for future potential customers, try to avoid this company. Buy from reputable retailers to avoid after sale issues.

    • Hi @Saturday,

Can you please share with me your order #? I will take over this case personally.

      Kind regards,
      Travis

      • Hi Travis, order number is HS33917. If you could help solve this issue, that will be great. Cheerd

        • +1

          Thanks, on it now!
          Will be in touch.

          Cheers,
          Travis
