I’ve had the pro for a month or so now and love it. I’m able to cook chicken breast from frozen to pull apart tenderness in 20 minutes cooking time. Super happy with it. Makes a great bolognaise too.

Safer to poach in a normal pot on the stove. Bring water to boil, turn off heat. Place chicken breasts in the pot and cover with a lid for at least 45min, max about 1:15min. Timings for 4 large pieces. Less time for fewer.

    • Put the breast in a steamer basket on top of a trivet. Put a cup of water in underneath. Put it on high pressure and cook for three minutes then stand for ten.

      • For mine I do the same steps but 3 minutes not generally enough for frozen. Especially when frozen in like a clump of breasts stuck together.

If single breasts (not stuck together) I do like 11 minutes on high and then let it natural release.

For ones stuck together I’ll do like 16 mins.

Never do quick release for breast as it makes them tough as.

        • We are usually only doing one small breast for the cats. I know, but they absolutely love it.

I have this too, it’s a fantastic machine.
    - Stainless bowl with easy grip handles
    - Faster heat up time
    - Yoghurt mode
    - Slow cook mode

It’s great, but turn off the sounds if you hate generic beep beep beep with every button press.

    • Does rice stick to the pot and make it really hard to clean?
I'm used to non stick with rice cookers

      • I use my cuckoo rice cooker, so can’t help you with that sorry. I will say that in my experience pressure cookers do a mediocre job on rice.

        • Oh bugger. I'm trying to remove the need for a rice cooker. Gave ours to the in laws and have been using a Tefal Cook4me+ but it started playing up and erroring saying not enough water

      • No it doesn’t, and you can add some oil or butter to help release it

      • We cook rice in ours and it doesn’t tend to stick but you might need to play around with water and rice ratios. If you really have a sticking problem try doing pot in pot. We do this for our risotto because I used to have a problem with sticking.

  • Also worth comparing Amazon pricing also on sale and might suit people with discounted GC

  • I have a slightly older model. Great appliance.

I recommend getting the Pro version. We have a smaller duo and an 8L Pro and the Pro is our go to for most meals. The handles stop the pot turning but they also make it easier to lift pots out. Also, get one with a Sous Vide function.
