      I’d say Bunnings for sure

      • There was even another Bunnings cart that went $35 lmao

          • @rewstar: That is an amazing price…but is weight and size limited.
Also I do not like those wheels, which can crack under too much weight…just not solid enough.

This is what may be better suited: (and a little more expensive at $62 for the cheapest one).
I just bought a $76 (+GST) from Aliexpress: (largest weight loading and capacity).
'Aoran camper outdoor folding picnic trolley camping trailer stall travel camping car'
Their 200L one (rated at 150KG) while be down to $62 shortly and has an extension bit at the front.

My Ali-helper does not like them, but anyway:

    • Depends if you want all the extra features, i got the sca one and its good but having the bunnings one with all the netting, tie up straps would be a winner

      • +1

You can just buy your own dedicated tie ups and netting that are better quality anyway

If you're probably only going to use it a few times then put it up on marketplace, save the $40.

The best camp sites aren't next to a carpark

        • +2

          OzDummies voting you down.

Best camp sites require very good cars (4WDs with lots of mods) or lightweight hiking to remote areas.

These are beach or picnic carts for families and not 'camp carts'.

Heaven forbid you park further than 5 minutes from where you camp

  • This is good because unlike some of the other carts it doesn't have rounded bars on the ends which is frustrating as objects you lay over the top often slide off. Not a big deal and I know you can tie down, but that's why I went with the SCA one.

The wheel looks bad for going through sand at the beach. I have the cheap Kmart one that has these wheels. I also have the quad fold Kmart one with the beach wheels. Highly recommend the Kmart quad fold cart for $79. I personally would never get a bifold cart again. It takes too much room in the boot.

    FYI, my 2 cents:
This SCA cart, or the Bunnings link (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/938877), they do not have a push option, only a pull option. Some carts do boths options.
Also, you need to purchase a separate canopy if you want to cover your belongings or provide shade for children inside.

    • where to buy the canopy?

I just used the SCA one on a video shoot today, we had tripods, lighting etc …. all sorts of heavy gear in it and it was a breeze to use. I don't think the wheels would be great at a beach, but for our use it worked great.

  • how does it compare to this one?

Wanderer Quad Fold Beach Cart on special now also at BCF

    seems sturdy wheels wise

  • I bought one. It's easy to fit the wheels on (and take them off) and to fold/unfold. However the wheels are very hard, so they work best on a soft surface like carpet. Not very good on sand or footpath.

    • Thanks for the feedback.

I'm thinking of buying a few different wheels for different situations. It looks like the standard castor wheel plug. Can get some big rubbery wheels so it's quieter on concrete.

      • Great idea! If you find wheels that fit, please let me know!

  • Bought the $79 Adventure Kings beach trolley with wide wheels and canopy at my local https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/kings-beach-camping-folding…

    • Are you happy with it?

      • I've never had one before but do have 3 kids 5 years old and under who enjoyed test sitting in it despite the warning sign about not placing (little :-) people in it. The novelty might wear off on them but so far so good. In short yes, it seems sturdy and the kids don't add up to anywhere near the 120 kg advertised capacity. The real field test will be when we get on beach sand but it packs and unpacks basically in one action quite compact and very easily/quickly. I'm confident it'll handle/serve them/us until they can no longer fit in it comfortably. I'm happy with it/that.
