ALL ORDERS NOW SHIPPED - STOCK ON HAND FOR IMMEDIATE SHIPPING

Hi Ozbargainers,

Another quick deal tonight on Minoxidil, I'm not sure if its the warmer weather or simply the beginning of the summer mating season, but I have had HEAPS of requests for a lesser month bundle of Minoxidil 5% offer over the past few weeks. The last few deals I've run for this brand have been 8 months supply https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/restor-minoxidil-5-e… As stock has been hard to come by I have been hesitant to run a new deal until I had enough product on hand to be able to let a deal run on (hopefully) for a few weeks or months.

Tonight I am offering a 4 months supply (2 boxes) of Restor Extra Strength 5% + also including a bonus item, please select FREE post at checkout, I think at this price I can just scrape in and comp your postage while not losing money (as long as most buyers are from metro areas, if too many Country folk buy, I might have to nudge the price slightly, but we'll see how we go):

Item:
4x Months Restor + Bonus 10x Cetrizine 10mg: https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/restor-minoxidil-5-e…
4 Months Restor + Bonus 10x Loratadine 10mg; https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/restor-minoxidil-5-e…
4 Months Restor + Bonus 48x Iburprofen 200mg; https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/restor-minoxidil-5-e…
Price: $39.99
Code: Not Required
Delivery: Free with tracking (select free post at checkout)
Exp: Minox, supplied in this deal will all be LATE 2027 or EARLY 2028 exp stock (so plenty of time to use it)
Stock at hand: >200 units at time of listing

Other popular deals still running:

ALLERMIST is BACK IN STOCK For all who have asked: 3x Allermist Nasal Spray $59.99 with tracking https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/922787

"I used to think hair loss was as inevitable as the tides"

    • the same stuff that Homer simpson used.

  • +3

does this stuff work? starting to thin out on top

    • +9

It varies from person to person. I combined this with 1mg Finasteride tablets, and it worked wonders for me.

      • +1

        This is the way

          to side effects from hell

@King Steuart: They may enjoy having boobs

            • @CaptainMaverick: There's a lot of evidence showing how harmful and irreversibly damaging this drug is, but your body your choice

The giant nipples was kind of funny though ngl

      • thanks, any side effects?

        • +1

          None for me (not OP)

        • -2

Well you wont be able to make babies while on fin because it affects your sperm. You have to stop it for a few months (sometimes up to 6 months) before trying to have babies.

          • +17

@easternculture: not true, source: my baby

            • @Enterz: There are rare cases but the consensus is that most people dont

For the male partner taking finasteride:
              - Fertility: Finasteride can lower sperm count and semen volume, potentially making conception harder, but this often reverses after stopping the drug.
              - Recommendation: Stop finasteride at least 3 to 6 months before trying to conceive to allow sperm to recover, and use barrier contraception during this time.

If you are on fin, you have to have the expectation that it may affect it

              • +3

@easternculture: I looked it up. It does affect sperm count quite a bit so best to stop if you are trying for a baby, But you still have a good chance of having a baby while on it if you are normally fertile - its not a contraceptive

            • @Enterz: You must start donating to fertility centres

          • +1

@easternculture: So, is it like birth control for bald men?

            • @gamesnepal: Yes, but an unfortunate side effect is that you may end up with kids still, so don't count on it ;)

      • Does finasteride alone also works ? Heard minoxidil you have to keep taking forever otherwise

        • Taking any of those alone does not in my experience

        • Fin blocks dht
          Min promotes hair growth

        • -4

Finasteride terrible for men, you dont notice until you stop. I don't recommend it.

          • +2

            @Master Mark: How do?

          • @Master Mark: I've been taking it for months and have zero side effects. What side effects did you experience? Every person is different, so it's worth trying, and if it doesn't work for you, then yes, stop, but as a blanket recommendation to everyone not to take it is silly, as it's a wonder drug for many men.
I take fin + minoxidil, and it has made a huge difference to my hair, a great combination for many men that's worth at least trying.
As for any potential issues with sperm count, I couldn't care less as I personally have zero intention of going down that path ;)

            • @SimAus007: Didn’t give you any side effects at all even in the slightest? Didn’t feel any different at any point?

              • @CaptainMaverick: Hand on my heart, I didn't (still don't) have any side effects, nothing at all.
Nothing mentally, sexually, gut health and blood results were great, and I get my blood tests every 3 months as I like to keep an eye on my health.
Of course, this won't be the same for everyone, which is why I was interested in the side effects you had.
If anything, it has inadvertently given me more confidence, due to the results.

      • Where did you get prescription?

        • +1

          Any GP, even video calls

      • Any side effects?

        • -2

          Yes, crippling in some cases

        • +1

No side effects for me. One of my mates in Melbourne took 1mg Finasteride and sprayed Minoxidil for years and still has 2 babies while on medication.

    • +9

      Don't chase, embrace.

    • I took finastride for many years, hairfall stopped but no regrowth. I stopped finastride and started minoxidil for last 1 year and hair is getting thicker. You have to start early as it wont work once thr roots are gone completely

      • Oral?

        • Topical

        • +14

You have to buy me dinner first

      • you gotta take both fin and min, one stops the loss and the other promotes growth.

        • Yes true

        • Absolutely, if you are serious about it, taking both is the absolute best combination. It seriously only takes a few seconds out of your day to pop a pill and apply minoxidil.
It's also great for those who have had a hair transplant and want the best possible results in the future.

    • Welcome to the club

    • +1

Its better than not taking it. Finasteride is the better of the two. But it really just slows the issue down, don't expect to grow your hair out like an 80s rock god

    • +5

Ask Jeff Bezos, Prince William, Prince Harry and all the other bald rich and powerful.

      • +2

        Why did you forget elon

      • There's a pretty big relationship between baldness, sexyness and wealthiness 😂

      • Aren't this just hair transplants?

        • Yea, would be transplants as they had already lost a fair bit of their hair before it came back in full.

  • +1

Can we use this for beard ? Thinking this or Regaine or Kirkland brands ? Basicly they are same amount 5%

    • +1

      I have this same question

      • Yes - but there are considerations. Do your own research. r/tressless is a good resource.

      • Top or bottom?

  • Do you have to keep using it beyond 4 months?

    • +1

If you want to keep your hair, yes.

      • +1

You mean you will lose you hair when you stop using it?

      • +3

and you die at 54 from a heart attack

They wouldn't sell something that does that.
        It's safe and effective, right?
        /s

      • 🤣🤣

      • LOL

      • Not sure why the negativity… it certainly needs to be used for long time and minoxidil was originally a heart medication with a side effect they discovered to contribute to hair growth. So they lowered dose and offer now as topical solution as over the counter product.

  • I much prefer Gelutol

  • Any access to Morr F Op - Topical fin + minox?

  • Avodart and loniten is the way to go, easier and no mess. Avodart is more potent then Fin and less side effects on the long run.

    • My understanding is that the prostate absorbs a large portion of the Avodart which is why it takes longer to show the hair growth effects and there is a higher risk for prostate cancer.

      • Honestly haven't heard that there's a higher risk of prostate cancer. With Fin. Read you could get breast cancer etc.

Google says (who to believe any more these days) :

Overall Risk: Dutasteride significantly reduced the chance of developing prostate cancer detected by biopsy (around 23% lower risk).
Low-Grade Cancer: The reduction was mainly due to fewer cases of low-grade (Gleason 6 or lower) prostate cancers.
High-Grade Cancer: There was a slight increase in the absolute incidence of high-grade (Gleason 8-10) cancers (about 0.5% absolute increase) in the dutasteride group compared to placebo.

        • Dutasteride can reduce the overall risk of developing biopsy-detectable prostate cancer, particularly low-grade cancers, but it may increase the risk of developing high-grade (more aggressive) prostate cancers

With Fin. Read you could get breast cancer etc.

Because with fin, you have a higher test to dht ratio > excess test converts to estrogen > high estrogen can cause breast cancer

          • @easternculture: What if you already have prostate cancer (I was diagnosed 2 years ago with gleeson 6)

    • How can it have less side effects? It suppresses more DHT

  • Noooooooooooo. I missed this because of the Carols

    • Another life saved

      • I read your comments but my understanding was that finasteride is the one with major side effects. This is minoxidil based and topical so it shouldn’t have all the side effects that come with finasteride use? Or am I missing something? Do you have any sources to share?

    • +2

      because of the Carols

      Which? Vorderman? Baskin?

  • Is this safe to use down under ifykwim

  • +7

You might want to read Hair loss drug finasteride causing psychological side effects in some men before using these products, especially the side effects that Andre suffered.

    • That article was my first thought when I saw this deal.

I'd rather lose my hair than go through that, however these are different drugs (minoxidil vs finasteride). Either way, I'd probably just avoid both myself.

    • I've heard of pfs but I've been taking finasteride for years now. When I started it was 1mg/day and within a week or so my labido tanked I had some sort of ed which had me somewhat panicked. My gp told me to try 0.5mg/day and after another week or two I was okay. Even now I can tell it does affect labido but nothing unmanageable, occasionally I'll skip a day here and there and I can feel a difference so I know I must be close to an optimal dose.

Hair loss is an off label usage for finasteride, I know people that had prostate cancer and are on finasteride or dutasteride

    • I would have thought the effect on Marc was worse

    • +2

This is a TGA approved medication (Made in Australia) being sold by a PBS registered pharmacy as an over the counter item, walk in to any pharmacy and its on the shelf (just dearer). Yes, there are side effects to many medications, this one is no different. Please note this is a topical Minoxidil (I am not sure if you are referencing issues/side effects relating to oral consumption of Minoxidil, if so this is not that product.)

  • @jason101 4 Months Restor + Bonus 48x Iburprofen 200mg is sold out. Can you restock this combo. Thanks.

    • +1

I need to get all orders out and see what I have left - more than 200 units sold already - so much for thinking this would last a few weeks…..

I will contact the supplier in the morning and see if I can get more stock at the same price, I may then take more sales on backorder.

        — Guy currently receiving gender-affirming care in the form of discount topical Minoxidil and petrol station dick pills

    • "save" us lmao
They need to ride their high horse away from the deal 😂

  • Got anything to help a young man hopeless with growing much facial hair? 😅

  • +4

Go bald = save on haircuts and shampoo.

Honestly… you call yourselves true OzBargainers?

  • Depends on the cause of the baldness. If it’s hereditary, your $$$ is better spent elsewhere. Would just produce a few thin hair which will eventually drop off after you stop using.

    • As in if your mum's dad was bald, you would likely to bald?

  • Yeah I keep thinking like someone above mentioned, would all these mega rich bald guys have gone bald, so young or mid aged if the stuff really bloody worked? very doubtful in my eyes. I have a couple of mates on it but we early 50s and they can't see any obvious differencr after a couple of years on both this and fin . I am thinking quite a bit on top too but don't wanna be on more meds as already on meds for 2 other more serious conditions.

  • +1

More stock ordered and confirmed - original deal reinstated, please allow 1 week for processing of your order while we await delivery of new stock.

    • Ah just missed this - is a restock possible with the Ibuprofen :)

  • Thanks Jason great deal
