Edit: Apologies! Update for everyone for this deal from confirmation of what I am seeing, Waiting on a confirmation from ASUS as well but no response just yet , "9070" list in t&c's has an error and not listing the 9070 cards but has 9060xt? if I get any updates will update everyone but if anyone has jumped on or thinking of this please keep this in mind.

Hi All

Forgive me as this is my first post , long time lurker, please let me know if I need to edit or change anything and if anyone can confirm

Saw this after poking around and might benefit some as there was some mention of missing out

If you missed out on the deal from Reaper for the 9070 16gb , here’s another one

I am unsure if this is a duplicate, I did not find another post in regards to this it might be end tonight due to Cyber Monday sales

Using Gift Card deal from below for Asus for $50 plus another possible US $20 for Steam for the review you have a theoretical price of $779 delivered on the 9070 16gb

Seems to be the cheapest of the asus cards for 9070 as well according the static ice

PC Case Gear also is in the list for retailers

whats the odds of these giftcards working though? If we hassle them enough or threaten to report will we actually get them or they just dont care?

    • +1

You talking about the gift card for the review? They still haven't approved mine. Been over a month. Terms did say they are issued when the promo ends but.

    • +1

This I’m not sure either sorry , any chance we might be able to grab a Rep to confirm , I’ve been mixed with these gift cards for any brand , but I believe success depends on brand and store

    • tldr: received gift card but it's been claimed!

Can only speak from personal experience
      - ordered an Asus GPU with a $20USD Steam Card promo back in late-September
      - wrote review
      - took just over a week to receive card via email from Asus
      - tried to redeem card soon after, it's already been claimed!
      - have sent emails to Asus about issue, no response.

      • +1

yikes, I think someone on the ASUS reddit had a similar story. Please send another email telling them this is an illegal practice and that if they dont reply you'll submit a report to ACCC.

      • Man, what the hell. Asus customer support has been a basket case for a while now. So many horror stories on forums/reddit.

Pathetic since they market and price themselves as offering "premium" products.

        • I'm so glad we don't have to deal with them directly in Australia if we have to RMA.

      • Same thing just happened to me. Bought an OLED back in October, just got the card today after 2 months. Already been claimed. Bummer

  • +2

    Thanks OP, just bought :D

  • The next one would be RX X070 or RX 10070?

    • +3

      XFX AMD X070xtx

      god help us

it should be A070. then B070 next year. they will have roughly 30 years to figure out another naming convention

I reckon by that time people won't have gaming rigs anymore, and be playing remotely over the internet, which you can do today with a bit of latency. why build expensive power hungry rigs if you can play remotely for a few bucks a month, and have someone else worry about the hardware and power.

full disclosure I have a rig with 4060 in it, and I am happy with it. in fact, I haven't turned it on since September, if I remember correctly. and haven't gamed on it since May, looking at the logs

but I have Switch and Xbox and when I have time for gaming that's where gaming happens. maybe I sell the card and get a box of beer instead. will be better off this way

Waited over 3 months after the end of the Asus promo, and still haven't got my $40 USD steam card.
Contacted Asus several times without much luck… pretty much given up now..

    • +2

No response or just bouncing you around?

  • +5

Mwave also have it for $869 but are also giving out $60 store credit making it cheaper if you are able to use it.

    • +2

So theoretically could stack Mwave store credit with the $50 Asus gift card for $110 discount? Anyone know how long the Asus gift cards take to deliver?

      • +1

Tbh that might be the case, if you stack, That also works out for some other models in the line up.

I didn't notice that one my apologies

I was going to post another one, but unsure if that would be cheap as that is for the 9060XT

Currently the ASUS Dual Fan 9060 XT 16 GB is the cheapest right now for that 9060 XT Range if bought with gift cards return, around $500 - the gift cards,

If going off the above MWave would equal to $490~ I believe

I found another deal for a bonus
You can also get a $1 (Retail $39) Verbatim 32GB Minecraft Collectors Edition USB Flash Drive With Any Order Over $50. Limit 1 Per Customer :P as an extra bonus -
        (
edit: The deal works with a code - codes are here: https://www.mwave.com.au/searchresult?button=go&w=verbatim+m…
        )

      • +1

yes thats what I was planning, stack with TCB cashback for a cheeky 1% off too brings it down to ~$720. Only problem is you have to use the mwave between 1st January and 28 February on an order of at least $80, and keep in mind that deal ends today. Asus says up to 10 weeks but it'll likely be longer and you'll have to harass them to get it.

        • +1

Note the Mwave one is slightly different model PRIME-RX9070-O16G not the PRIME-RX9070-O16G-EVO

          • @Geoff897: Hmm… That's interesting…
Asus screwed up their eligible GPU model list:
            https://i.imgur.com/0rMIvxg.png

Assuming they just copied and pasted 9060XT models and didn't rename to 9070 then that would mean that they are EXCLUDING the EVO models. Meaning the deal OP posted isn't eligible… Knowing Asus I wouldn't put it past them to do something scummy and just decline all 9070 models…

            • @AreYouAWiiizard: I did see that but that unfortunately was after I posted this and questioned it below in a comment as well, I was assuming it might include all Prime models as the list is wrong, I did reach out to Asus for clarification but no reply just yet,

I have also asked about issues with these gift cards not being received by us as well, seeing what they say but they might not reply, I've seen some horror stories just searching their email on Ozb and Reddit alone. (Email being this: For more enquiries, please contact us at oppromotion@asus.com and oppromotion@asus.com.au)

Do I expire this deal for now until clarified?

        • If doing cashback, I noticed SB (Shopback) upon a pop up, has upsized their offering to 1.4% , so keep that in mind for Mwave, I bought a 9060xt from Centre Com due to the Mwave limitation and extra costs overall but keep the above in mind :)

          • @Nemonis: I've never done any form of shopback before. Better hand in OzB card

            • @B-ron67: haha, nah you're all good, in my experience it's fairly quick to track on phone at least, PC you have to be careful it doesn't somehow back out or not track anymore, so any form of Cashback I think this might be the case, it works similar to Cashrewards (RIP) with its tracking and cash out.

But I find with Cashbacks they take a bit to approved but I guess that's part of the game haha

        • But hoping the Gift Card won't be too painful

ASUS promo is really slow while MSI one took less than a week.

Still waiting ASUS for the last promo has been ended over a month

  • -3

Over the past couple of months, I’ve gone all-in on ROG — cooler, motherboard, PSU, monitor, and most recently the GPU. Finally finished the setup and just applied for the ASUS GPU promo, only to realize every other ROG part I bought is just outside the promo window.

What really hurts is that the 32" ROG 4K 240Hz monitor I grabbed from the JB Hi-Fi sale was still on sale when this promo dropped a couple of days later. I didn’t have time to return and rebuy since it was already shipped and my schedule’s pretty tight.

Feels a bit rough missing out on hundreds in promo value after spending thousands on their products so recently. Anyone know if ASUS might make an exception if I show them all the receipts and proof of purchase? Would be nice if they tossed something my way — even a mouse pad or sticker pack for emotional support 😅.

if people even get there promo's

Cant sing praise of the asus prime model enough. great design GPU

  • +8

mods add the "video card" tag please, i feel like that's the tag people would sub to

    • +2

Thanks for the feedback I’ll add that in :)

  • Just wanted to ask, I’ve had a chance to come to this , can anyone confirm if I’ve got the t&c’s correct that it’s got a typo for 9070 cards Listed/included?

  • +2

Can't help but feel a slight bit of amusement towards the "HODL" crowd who waited for GPU prices to drop only to find RAM prices more than quadruple in the process. Still, good value buying as a drop-in replacement for an existing system.

    • you just had to buy between the dip, gpus going down and ram going up

or purchase a boat ton of ram 2 months ago to now swap for gpus, nvmes and the weekly grocery shop

      • +2

        Hindsight 20/20 or something. Lol

    • Don't fault people for trying to get deals, if we all agree to accept all the anti-consumer behavior more and buy highs they will just raise prices even more.

      • +1

I fault people for not just buying what they want, when they want it. Now, they'll miss out (or they'll blow whatever savings they squeezed out of a GPU on their RAM, and then some).

As has been pointed out in other comments, those who bought their cards on release, got weeks/months more gaming out of them than those who chewed their fingernails and hit F5 on Pgrid.app waiting for a discount.

  • This EVO model apparently has a different sized (or differently laid out) PCB, so I don't think it will be compatible with any existing waterblocks.

  • Anyone have any recommendations on an Asus AM5 mobo to pair with this? Might bring it up over the $1000 for Asus $100 gift card, then could pair with $60 Mwave credit. Might put it towards a 7800x3d in future, or ram ddr5 (rip prices). Not in a rush to build, getting parts over time.

Steam Gift Card for Review is No Longer Active, all prizes have been claimed.

  • Got the Steam code promo today for the reviews on 2 Nov 2025. However, the Steam code has been redeemed. What the heck, ASUS????

    • Hi mate, did you sort out your issue? I found Asus Oppromotion team the worst team to deal with. Super slow, came up with excuses all the time and doesn't care about customers at all.

      • Of course not, lol. They sent me 3 codes for 3 different reviews but none of them worked
