What's the value of 3,000 Flybuys points?

The value can change drastically depending on how you use them! Here are a few examples:

  • Amateur: redeem 3,000 Flybuys for $15 off your shopping.
  • Advanced: transfer 3,000 Flybuys to Velocity and book an economy flight ~2c of value per Velocity points so 1,500 x 0.02 = $30 value
  • Pro: transfer 3,000 Flybuys to Velocity and book business or first class flights ~3c to 8c of value per Velocity point so $45 to $120

  • Can you cancel before 30 days?

    • You can but the points only credit if you commit to the annual sub

It seems your post is being deliberately vague.
Can you complete the trial, cancel or fail billing at the end of it and still receive the 3000 points?

    • Not trying to be deliberately vague but let me clarify: you can try OnePass for 30 days, if you decide to keep it you will pay $40 for the annual fee + get 3,000 bonus points. If you cancel after the free trial, you won't get the points. Basically you won't get the points for free.

    This isn't a deal.

One Pass is nearly always available for half price at $20

This is $40 with $15 worth of Flybuys included so not as good.

You are only posting this for your own benefit. Negging.

    • yep got myself at 20$ as well

It's currently the best offer on the market vs the standard free 30-day trial, so I'd argue it is a deal. OnePass isn't 'nearly always available for half price at $20, it's discounted a few times a year (like last month).

The value of the points very much depends on how you use them. If you're just going to redeem them for $15 of shopping, then yes, the $20 discount is better. But if you plan to transfer to Velocity and use them for travel, then this offer is much better.

If we take a bear case example, using them on flights with 2c value per point would get you to $30. If you're redeeming for high ticket items like business/first class, the value can go to $50-$120. To me, it seems like your neg is just because we fully disclosed our partnership with OnePass, which seems a bit petty.

      • Stop crying. Your deal is horrible. AKA not a deal.

  • onepass is so good with bunnings … the free 1 year membership got me hooked

    • Same with officeworks, points rack up quickly when you need to buy an expensive item ie. computer etc

  • For a minute I thought this was pointshacks site
