    • Different item, different size battery

The picture is of a promo PXC Black PXBSTK-018 and not identical to the product linked. The only difference appears to be the 1.5Ah battery vs 2Ah, both too small for a blower.

  • I bought one of these previously and wish I bought a slightly more powerful version.

It's good for loose leaves, but not powerful enough if anything is caught or stuck at all

    • true but tbh it does 95% of the job at my place!

    • The recent feel for the 36V was well worth it. On boost, it blows so hard it pushes my arm back a bit.

The $159 jet blower kit is still available at random places and it's (almost) 10 times better than this toy. We are talking 890 m³/h vs 105 m³/h
Comes with 2x 4ah batteries so worth the extra cost.

    • I bought that and have the smaller 18v version. The smaller one has advantages imho. Its lighter and better in terms of directing air. Makes it easier to move grass/leaves into piles. The reponse is also more direct. The big one takes longer to wind up and down. If you don't have massive loads of leaves to blow all over the place 18v would be fine imho.

  • Thinking Croydon in NSW, missed the Vic State.

  • I got the air blowing gun from wolfbox, the m100 model ig, do I need this?

    • yeah if you need to blow the leaves outside

  • Stupid question: These any good for drying your car after a wash?

Maybe a decent chamois would be better, or Bowden's big green sucker?

I have some microfiber cloths, but for some fcken reason I read on here how a user doesn't like the texture and it messed with my mind. Now I can't touch them lol!

        • Yeah I get that, the cheap microfibre clothes feel strange

        • it feels like Lucifer caressing your soul

    • Just use a hair dryer. Multipurpose, as you can also use it for the mullet.

Or get a decent microfibre absorbing towel from Bowdens or Maguires, but where is the fun in that?

Mine died after 5 years, just bought the smallest Makita blower and it's significantly better. The trigger is variable which is a useful feature and it can change to a vacuum which is handy for deflating inflatable mattresses etc.

I just bought the MAKITA DUB186 which is the tiny one with the long nose for cleaning out the gutters. Very impressed, maybe even better than my old corded ozito blower vac, which would weigh three times as much. It is also three times the price of this though, but a no brainer if in the MAKITA ecosystem.

  • These are….. fine. I wouldn't spend any more than this on one though. Mine did me well for years but then as soon as I got my hands on an actual jet blower I realised how much time I'd been wasting. I don't even think the 2ah battery is worth jumping on as you'd really only ever want to use a 4.

I used to rake leaves down the side of my house and then tidy up with one of these and that took half an hour. Now with the jet blower it’s done in a minute
