[PC, Steam] Inscryption $8.68 @ Steam

620

Inscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie. Darker still are the secrets inscrybed upon the cards…

If you buy this or not, I'd highly suggest people look into the lore of/in this game and it's ARG.
Pretty damn amazing work for a relatively simple game.

(After playing it through, if you buy it, obviously)

Plenty of awesome videos about them on youtube.

  • Highly recommend this game. I got hooked easily.
Sometimes during work I would have the OST playing for focus mode :P

Just buy it and go in blind. The less you know the better for this ride.

Great game, will upvote every time I see it!

  • I've heard good things about this but aren't a horror fan at all, but this lists itself as a psychological horror - how bad is it? If someone can't stand horror at all, should I avoid it just to be safe?

It's mildly spooky, but I wouldn't call it psychological horror.

It's a great game, get it.

Sweet, good to know it's probably not too scary then - thanks for the tip!

        • You'll be fine. The horror thing turned me off initially too, and I've now sunk… over three hundred hours into it. Still only played the first chapter, lol. (If you do end up picking it up, you'll probably see why).

Played this game and hated the context switching between level, suppose I am in the 4% hater club.

Good deal if you want to buy anyway.

  • Was good, just felt weird how the part after the demo was so different.

I slogged my way to the end of the 'first section' and was utterly deflated that there was more game I was not mentally prepared for.

I should probably go back and try again to actually finish.

  • Inscryption: Beginner's Deck is $6.94 for me as I own the others.

  • Great game though I tapped out in act 3 after my deck was not getting it done. I much preferred act 1 and 2.

  • I love this game. As mentioned above, I've played it for over 300 hours and I'm still technically only at the start of Act 2. If you enjoy Act 1's gameplay, use a cheat code to unlock Kaycee's Mod (it's an official mod) and have at it. Keep it fresh by downloading fan mods for new cards, sigils, zones, etc. I paid full-price and it was completely worth it, so it's definitely worth picking up on sale.

  • If you haven't played this before. Please I implore you, experience it. Such a masterpiece
