    Bad deal Scamsung

    • i had a few iphones, then samsungs, then i moved to pixel and one plus and xiaomi, then decided to go back to samsung s24u, and i returned in in less than 30 days and went back to pixel.

Your faith is not strong enough :-)

        • +1

no its not :D i gave it my faith for 30 days, was more than enough :D

      • Why did you choose Pixel over others?

        • +1

because my oneplus and xiaomi (older models) have been blocked last year, because of the 3g shutdown (while both are 5G, and tested working for a few days then blcoked). so i was afraid of buying them and waste my money they get blocked like older ones. i was about to go with Oppo 8 pro, but the offer on the pixel was great so i went with it, actually on 2nd of december i completed a year with it. if you give me the chance to choose? i'll go with xiaomi with closed eyes, best device i ever used.

I always had pixels but this is my last one after having to deal with google customer service.

          • @daredevilboy: Don't listen to those saying Chinese phones suck, they are absolutely the best, I never been to China btw so no one says I am Chinese promoting hahaha

      • Tried most major brands and ended up choosing the buggiest phone with a UI made for giants.

  • Dual SIM + eSIM? Really? Are you sure?

    • +2

      Looks like non Oz stock…

  • -1

Just to be 100% clear, this phone isn't supported by Samsung Australia?
    Is this the Chinese variant?

    • 100% Samsung Australia will not honour the warranty. I've asked before, they will honour stock from JB hi-fi or Officeworks.

Dual sim + esim is nice to have, why dont scamsung Australia have this?

    • Because under 16 year olds cant hsve nice things

  • +2

Hello this phone is the global version S938B/DS the aussie stock in S938B ( the DS stands for Dual physical sim ) this model also supports Esim

    • +2

so this is the imported version.

      • +4

Yup it is, highly likely from South East Asian market.

  • If living in metropolitan areas, does it matter to have the imported version? I learned that the Australian version of Google phones have an extra antenna for living in rural areas.

    • +3

The International model and the Aussie model have the same Network Bands - it is the same phone except the dual physical sim part

  • +1

If this breaks down, how do I claim warranty? Through my local Samsung centre? Or is local warranty void because it’s an international version?

    • As the importer, we assume full warranty responsibility and provide coverage through our authorized retail/repair center in Brisbane City

  • +1

Samsung has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, also not a big fan of Exynos

    • +2

Good thing the ultras are all SD chips

  • Got my 512GB from them. They sent me the Enterprise version which is nice. Very easy to deal with. I did a wrong order and they fixed me up real quick.

  • Besides the warranty period, what's the difference between "import" vs "Aus" S25U?

I'm in need of an upgrade on my S22U, this deal seems to be good, but I keep telling myself wait for the S26U, hoping that'll be released next month - Jan26.

    • +2

Difference is the Samsung wallet can be used on the region you bought. Like recent deals, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/932154, if you have overseas model it is stuck to that region and won't show up deals locally in Aus. Otherwise, other functions are pretty much the same. (I have the overseas model and i can attest to that)

      • Should "international" version show promotions of all countries including Australia?

        • +1

Nope, it will only show up the local area that you bought the from phone. Even listed the shops locally where I bought from.

  • S26 ultra coming up in January 26, rather spend same money with trade in and all of the bonuses during the pre release time for many improvements in the new s26 ultra.

    • +2

      Correct.

      • +1

Im hoping that same period will aslo have better dicounts or at least upsized tradeins on S25 range…

        • +2

I believe the S26U should have better discounts. If you check the spec sheet, the S26U is just upgraded chip and charging but all the rest are VERY similar to the S26U. It is like a filler anime season. So it's probably for people on wayyyy older Ultras or other phone brands. That said, Scamsung always messes up.

    • +1

From Google AI Overview: AI Overview
"Disappointment around the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra stems from rumors of minimal upgrades, particularly sticking with the same 5,000mAh battery and potentially even a sensor downgrade for the 3x telephoto camera, despite competitors offering larger batteries and faster charging. While expected improvements include faster charging (potentially 60W), a newer Snapdragon chip, and a premium M14 display, many fans feel these aren't substantial enough to justify an upgrade, especially with stagnant battery capacity."

  • +1

Wanna upgrade from S24+. I guess I will wait for S26U release.
