I don't remember the last time a perks voucher could be applied to a Breville coffee machine. Discounted to $2996 currently and comes down to $2696.40 with the perks code.

I'd get the ninja luxe instead

More specific reason? New to these machines

I like machines with a 58mm basket. Those with 54mm baskets seem a bit more fiddly to handle, the grinds just go everywhere. I use 58mm at home and 54mm at my in-laws.
I also prefer boiler machines over thermoblock. Downside is that they take longer to heat up.

@TEER3X: Then it is a Breville thermoblock system and not really worth the money. I'd rather a non-touchscreen Breville Oracle!

If you buy a all in one, may as well get a fully automated one. The ninja seems to pack a lot of features. Note that I'm happy with my BES920, but it's not cheap anymore (probably got it for under $600)

But you could also get what OP posted a further 10% off with gift cards. An even bigger bargain

Express impress for that price is reasonable and will do the job quite well. It's an updated version of the normal express which I found as low as 530 at one point.
Lowest I've seen the impress is bout 670, so if you're keen on picking one up I think it's reasonable, if you're okay to wait - hang out until xmas boxing day which is near by - might get some more deals coming up.
Now impress vs ninja luxe cafe is an interesting one.
Ninja luxe and the impress are surprisingly close on brewing functionality, it's just a bit more automated which may suit some people.Impress will clean up your work flow with grinding and pulling down a lever to tamp - it helps you dose a bit (not as accurate as doing all manual but it will still make a good latte every morning).
luxe is much more automated, think of it as an oracle without a dual boiler. i'll grind, dose and tamp all in one without any required action.
Extraction to be honest feels the same for both given the hands-free approach.
The frothing milk is where ninja luxe wins because it has auto frother whereas impress you gotta do it manually - from reviews the luxe does the auto frothing quite well because it has that little spring inside that spins and creates the vortex as it heats the milk - whereas impress you gotta do that manually.
Me personally for the two machines:
- Ninja luxe if you just want to wake up, press a few buttons, pour and get your coffee. Useful for when you have multiple users and just want to pump out coffee with ease.
- Impress has only 1 more item in the work flow but you need to learn how to froth which can turn many people off.I would pick the impress because I like to have the chance to manually fix my shots but still have a semi-automated workflow for my family.
Ninja luxe is more for people like my parents who just wants to press a button for an automated flow.
Note: I looked at the ninja luxe at bing lee and honestly it felt much cheaper with the hard plastics all around. Reviews online on both swings either way in terms of durability.

Thanks for you time and input. At this moment, i could fine lowest ninja is 634(can't use perk 10% cos price matching, and impress 691( after 10% perk) before any gift card discount. It is a Christmas gift, can't wait for boxing day sale. I will think about it or see if I can visit a shop to check them out.
Anyone know if you can add perk coupon in store on a price match order? I tried it's not work online. Just wondering will in store works. The system might be a bit different

You're looking at reviews of the newer Ninja 701, Australia gets a localised version of the 601. The 601 doesn't auto tamp, you need to do it manually by placing a little plastic collar on the portafilter and using the spring loaded tamp.
I think a better match against a Ninja 601 is the Barista Touch since it also has auto milk frothing and manual tamp. However the Touch is currently $999, bit of a price jump. $899 with the BrevSoGood10 code. Still hunting for a better deal.
Ninja has a lot of features at an aggressive price in order to break into the market. But build quality and longevity are a huge gamble that is swaying me back to Breville.
My bad, the $999 price has expired. It was only on the black chrome colour. Now back to $1499. Bah.

Oh thank you for the clarity there!
(In my research)
In short:
- Bang for buck -> Ninja Luxe is a good starting off machine, removes a lot of potential errors in brewing over the Impress ExpressConcerns:
- Build quality and longevity (?); felt cheap when I was playing with one at the store vs the express impress
- dosing funnel and tamp feels a bit clunky and not as integrated, breville is much more streamlinedPros:
- "weight based" dosing is good for consistency vs breville's volume/time based
- auto milk texturing
@atimuslol: I read from other post, how about bambino+grinder compare to impress? I may not buy a dedicated grinder if go with Impress. But have to buy one with bambino.

@ShouldIBuyIt: For that model JB is cheaper 529.2 after perk coupon, and even cheaper with gift card. I just came out of the good guys, checked them. Kind of towards the impress. As a beginner I feel the integrated grinder may still work for me. I am not looking for making perfect espresso or anything. Ninja does look more fancier with the LCD screen. And more features. But I think I may only use less than 50% of these features anyway. Simpler maybe better

@ce5himm: Bambino + grinder is great; the grinder for me is the most important piece of making a good espresso and a good grinder also cleans up your work flow.
I like the bambino plus simply because the stronger milk frother for texturing milk but the normal bambino will do very fine esp for beginners since you have more time to create the swirl. The express impress grinder is kind of meh, like it will still make good coffee (esp if you're drinking with milk) but if you go down the rabbit hole and end up wanting to really do lighter blends then you'll need to go for a dedicated grinder.
Normal express is alright as well, just you'll likely need to buy a self levelling tamper and dosing funnel (unless the new model expresses come with the breville one) just to make sure you don't make a mess each time you grind. the standard express and impress version runs the same grinder which is kinda clumpy so it makes a big mound that you need to tamp down or clean up and gets more finicky which is why the integrated tamping mechanism is cool since it allows you more consistency

@atimuslol: Thanks, family members are likely to make more milk beverages instead of espresso. Got the impress anyway. Might get a grinder later if needed ,who knows. Lol
