Philips OneBlade Face (Original) 2 Combs 1 Blade - Cheapest I've seen for a long time to buy into the OneBlade system.

Replaced my 5 year old one with this after it stopped powering on intermittently. Comes with a blade cover for throwing it into your toiletry bag.

Plenty on the shelves at my local Chemmy Warehouse.

I know it's cheap but hate the fact the charging time is 8 hours giving 30 minutes usages.

          charging time is 8 hours

How often do you shave your armpits?

      • Anything for face and balls

Thanks OP & @kudoz as I was able to get the face & body + wet wipes to get it over the $50 threshold

to then pay with CommBank card to get extra $10 off.

Geez that's cheap! With replacement blades worth $11-12 on special, that's a good price!

  • Should I stick with the Gillette Lab or switch to an electronic shaver? The Gillette Lab gives a clean, close shave, but I sometimes cut myself, which is frustrating…. Or shall I go for electronic shavers?

I have one of these and I really like it. It provides a very close shave but not as close as a razor. It's basically impossible to cut yourself with this thing.

The replacement blades aren't super cheap but they last longer than advertised. I was using it 2 times and week and one blade would last more than 6 months.

Maybe you can try a double edge razor. I just switch to the King C Gillette DE Safety and it's a bless. Close shave, cheap and not irritating at all 😁

Is it worth getting the 360 over the original?

    • +1

I got a crazy good deal on a 360 kit (case, blades, combs, charging base) nearly a year ago - via Amazon Germany I think - and it’s been rock solid. The battery was lasting so long I put the charging base away and charge it maybe once a month when it gets below 30%.

No idea about the non-360 beyond the battery comparison but I do know I haven’t cut myself once with the 360, and I don’t get irritated even with a dry (neck) shave up to stubble line.

    It's not even half price

  • Are the one blade systems compatible with each other?

  • How does this compare to a radial electric shaver?

  • +2

I bought the Braun one in last deal from Kmart and it's the worst purchase I ever made. Main purpose was beard lining. Can someone compare oneblade with that?

    • i've got the braun xt5 to, it does the job but the battery life is terrible, interested to know if the one blade is better also

I use the One Blade on my neck and to shape my beard. I think it's brilliant.

    • +2

It’s a funny blade that needs to run flat against the skin which makes it hard to ‘cut into’ the beard line.

I don’t style that way so not an issue, but even the old Gillette electric razor (the one with the fixed blade that runs off a AA battery) was easier to straight edge hair with. You get used to the ‘cut point’ though with the one blade.

    2 Combs 1 Blade

That sounds like a movie I've heard people taking about

If you have a hairy neck this isn't for you don't bother.

    • This is the only thing I use mine for. Never had an ingrown since.

  • Does this have the hole on back like the pro version so I can attach my adjustable trimmer head to it ? Mines getting a bit old now and button has is becoming hard to press

  • +3

$41.69 for Intimate version which is essentially the same thing. Two blades included and the white guard is removable.

  • Not familiar with this, but how long would the blade last if you're shaving daily

    • They say to change after 2 months, but I usually get 5-6 months
