  I feel this post needs to have specific dates where the $9.99 fare is obtainable. I searched a number of dates in Jan and all tickets are significantly higher than the advertised rate.

  This should be no different to airfare deals

    My searching suggests that in fact there are no fares for $9.99; at least not from Melbourne to Sydney.

  I’d avoid for Canberra to Sydney route and vice versa

  Zero communication from Flixbus regarding delays, and they’re not operating their own bus, instead co-sharing with Deanes Coaches

  My first experience with Flixbus was horrible. Avoid, and stick with Murray’s

    but it would be nice to send out a text if there is a delay.

    Murray's is doing $10 tickets for services around the same time as the $9.99 Flixbus so it's good for the competition getting $10 Murray's trips.

  I looked at some dates for SYD>MEL. Looks like they only allocate 1 $9.99 ticket per timeslot.

  Hubby and I are trying to book separately at work, once I added mine to cart, the rest are showing up as full price on his end

    Hi, I'm with FlixBus and I just wanted to confirm that, as long as they are promotional ticket left, you can choose any seat with the FlixBus promotion - not just the back row. Hope it helps!

  I booked for early Feb when the original deal was posted. I have MEL>SYD and SYD>MEL (both go via CBR) Cost $18.98 - $1 of the $9.99 is a booking fee. Paid $8 each way to have an empty seat next to me and also have Front Row outbound (daytime) but not back (overnight - no point)

  Same $9.99 fare seems to be also be available on services to Queensland starting on the 18th of December, the promotional price for:
  - Brisbane to Sydney from the 18th of December,
  - Sydney to Brisbane starting on the 22nd.

  EDIT: Scheduled to take nearly 16 hours with a dinner break at Ballina and a nasty 1:35am break at Bulahdelah. You can even go from Sydney to Cairns in 47 hours for $17.99. Not for the faint of heart i'd imagine!
