Bought discounted Apple Gift Card $250, took a few minutes for the card to appear in email :)

    • Can this be added to your Apple Wallet?

      • +1

You mean the “Apple Account” in Wallet? If so, yes!

        • But to clarify, your Apple Account can only be spent in-store at Apple or for online Apple services (Music / TV / App Store etc), not as a replacement for Apple Pay

          • @butteroz: Your Apple account can also be used to buy devices online and in store. :)

  • +2

What's the cheapest RACV service/product that would give access to this?

  • Those Apple gift cards usable at the physical Apple Stores?

  • +2

Getting error when adding through app,not sure ,if others have the same issue.
    Website works fine.

  • Can we use coles mastercard or Amex?

    • +1

      Not with Amex.

American Express payments have a 2.8% surcharge. Please note, American Express can only be used to pay RACV Club payments.

Do you mean Coles Mastercard gift card? Not sure. I was able to use with RACWA.

    • +1

yes, coles prepaid mastercard is working, just tried

  • +7

    Your move, Shopback!

  • Not working with a lapsed membership 😔

      • What about roadside for a year to be paid monthly and cancel it

        • @Cmaz I asked RACV the same question about cancelling a monthly (direct debit) membership. Staff told me "no refunds for membership" but I'm not sure how they implement this so didn't suggest it. Someone would have to test this.

          • @trixieb: Pretty sure that they have a 21 day cooling off period, which would cover roadside assist. I'd milk this deal and then cancel if you aren't already with RACV

  • -2

Not as cheap as 15% off, but will have to do.

  • -2

    works with RAC WA membership?

  • Does anyone know the Merchant Category Code (MCC) for this?

  • +1

Confirm that payment with Coles Prepaid Mastercard is working

  • Code comes instantly, seems working fine.Seems like one can buy more than 2 cards of the same denomination anyway

  • Any members know, do they still offer 5% off terminal parking at Melbourne airport? Been a while since I was a member but they used to.

I tried to do a quote and they only seem to list off-airport parking now. I always choose to park at the terminals.

Might tip me over the edge to signing up, along with this deal.

  • NRMA is not RACV?

    • No.

      • This deal should be marked as [VIC] Only

        • I used the same heading as previous [RACV] offers that have been edited by the mods.

          • @trixieb: No worries if you don't mind just mention somewhere it's VIC only else so many people think it's all states….

            • +4

@neonlight: fyi it’s not VIC only - just must have RACV membership, which isn’t limited to those in VIC, and gift cards aren’t VIC only either

              • @tonester: Most RACV posts don't mention VIC in title. Wasn't sure as I saw for "VIC residents" on the website. Have amended the title again. Thanks.

              • @tonester: WA as well then why not just say exclude NSW

                • @neonlight: sorry, not sure what you mean, but Australia’s not just VIC, WA, NSW?

                  • @tonester: I mean VIC and WA had Racv. NSW NRMA does not consider you as a Racv member

Are you saying Racv is available all states here? In that case I'm not paying membership just for Racv when I alrwsy have Road side assistance with NRMA

                    • @neonlight: I'm in VIC and have the free NRMA digital membership.

There's no reason why you can't have a bike membership in other states. If it demands a Victorian street address, there's enough apps to throw you one given you're never going to use the service anyway.

                    • @neonlight: These are seperate/independent state-based auto clubs, RAC, RACV, RACQ, NRMA, AANT, etc, even though they share some resources and services, eg roadside assistance. You can join any or all of them, but you’re only entitled to resources and services offered by those you’re a member of. Until recently I was a member of RACV with a QLD address, no problem.

    • When will NRMA has similar deal for NSW resident members? :(

      • Probably never

How fast will JB HI FI Gift card deliver? I want to stack this with the 10% JB Perks offer that ends tonight

    • +1

Apple and other unnamed gift cards have been reported to be delivered quickly. No one has mentioned JB Hi-Fi yet. It could be the same.

      • Uber Eats came immediately!

    • JB also came instantly

    • The 10% perks offer excludes gift cards AFAIK

      • +1

Above post meaning buy Racv giftcards then use those stacking with JB hifi perk code which ended last night

  • apple cards came instantly

  • +1

Does anyone know how many gift cards can be used in one transaction on JB online?

    • +2

      You can:

Buy items from JB Hi-Fi in-store, online and over the phone
Use an unlimited number of gift cards for a single purchase

If you’re shopping on the JB Hi-Fi website, enter your eighteen digit gift card number and four digit PIN when checking out. Any remaining amount not covered by your gift card can be paid using another payment method (e.g. another gift card, a debit/credit card etc).

Whether you’re shopping in-store or online, there is no limit on the number of gift cards you can redeem at JB Hi-Fi. There are many accounts of people using dozens upon dozens of gift cards without issue.

  • is there a maximum limit of purchase for JB Hi-fi gift cards? and is the value of the gift card what you order or is it in lots of $50/$100 etc.?

    • +1

A limit of two cards per denomination applies per transaction to ensure fair access for all members.

      https://racv.clubconnect.com.au/en/d/egift-card/all/jb-hi-fi…

      $100 & $250 values.

      • Thanks! Does that mean you can buy again after the first transaction of two cards?

    • +1

No limit, i just purchase 1500 worth of jb gift cards. you can only make two purchase at one transaction

  • +1

is this better or getting 20x points from woolies?

    • +4

      What’s better? 10% off or 20x points?

There’s not a great deal of difference between them unless you’re converting your Everyday Rewards points to Qantas or your Flybuys points to Velocity. If you’re doing that then they could be worth a lot more or a lot less than 10% off depending on how you redeem them.

However, if you’re just using your Everyday Rewards or Flybuys points to save on your grocery shop then 20x points is effectively 9.09% off – worse than 10% off but only by a bit.

After a bit of advice here - looking to purchase a new iPhone. What’s the best gift card with current deals at iPhone vendors? Ie do I just go with Apple or is JB a better option if I can price match with them?

    • Pretty sure if I have read correctly in the past, Apple will be willing to price match but only up to 10% off the original device price, so even if you found something such as a 15% off iPhone discount, they would only give 10% discount.

      • Interesting, ok. What about JB - apparently they price match to whatever the price is? Annoying no Officeworks discount gift cards as they price match and take 5% off as well.

        • Yeah, that’s mostly where JB would take the upper hand as they can price match to whatever discounted price you have found. Definitely annoying no Officeworks discounts because that price beat can be nice. So in that case Jb may be better.

I, as well am trying to find a good discount on iPhones, none really available as of now, but one thing I will say about Apple Store is that their 14 day change of mind is way more generous compared to JB. Apple will let you exchange colours and what not even after you have opened the box and used the phone, given there is no damage to the device, where as JB requires the box to be unopened.

          • +1

@Ozbargainuser8273: Best deal at the moment is via Amaysim, $100 off the base iPhone 17 with a plan ($30 min, no lock-in).

  • cannot use if im from NSW?

  • Drummond is handy since I'm getting a new driver for Christmas. :)

  • How many cards can you use in Jbhifi checkout?
I have a custom cart for a price match

    • You can:

Buy items from JB Hi-Fi in-store, online and over the phone
Use an unlimited number of gift cards for a single purchase

If you’re shopping on the JB Hi-Fi website, enter your eighteen digit gift card number and four digit PIN when checking out. Any remaining amount not covered by your gift card can be paid using another payment method (e.g. another gift card, a debit/credit card etc).

  • anyone waited longer than an hour to get their gift cards?

    • Just brought JB and Uber eats. Both came instantly

  • I want to purchase this but I live in Sydney and can't get any insurances from RACV or find anyone who has RACV.

  • $2,000 worth of JB gift cards purchased for $1,800, will now wait for the iPhone 17 Pro max 256gb to get close enough down to $2k to price match at JB and purchase.

  • Bought 6 JB gift cards all came instantly

  • Thanks OP, in NSW but signed up for Bike Assist and got some Apple cards.

so if youre outside vic, you just need to use fake vic address for bike membership do it online? All the other non vic options require you to call or visit in store or have a membership claim reviewed?

    • I just used a hotel address and put my NSW address as postal

  • -1

Nice, month to month sign up and cancel works fine. just used a random address to sign up.

    • Which cover was this?

    • if you sign up month to month and cancel, do you only pay 1st month ? ta
