    Thanks OP. Got it for $279 during Black Friday sale with the $50 voucher they had for sale. I am hoping they will have similar voucher for the Boxing Day.

      All Android devices have access to basic parental controls built into the AOSP since Oreo (Android 8.1).

      Androids with Google Services (almost all of them in Australia) also have access to the more feature-rich Google Family Link.

      I believe the Kids Edition doesn't add more parental controls, just focuses on that use case a bit more within One UI.
