  • Thanks

  • +7

Also can be seen in the DJs app if no e-mail has yet to be received

    • Wow did not know DJs had an app. Thanks!.

      • They make you use it to scan your Rewards barcode in store ever since they revamped the program in late September.

        • Seems you can’t add the barcode to Apple Pay anymore 😣

        • +1

Looks like I can just login the web page on my mobile to get the barcode.

      • +1

i am as shocked as you are? when did DJ get an app?

    • +1

Thanks so much! I never ever receive their emails with vouchers even though I'm subs etc. This was so helpful.

    • Hi kerfuffle, I just saw this post now so I have signed up and I am in the app but I cannot see the $15 reward. I may have left it to too late but first I will try to buy something and see if $15 voucher is automatically added .

      • +1

You literally just signed up. You're not getting the $15 reward.

        • Ok. Thanks for clarifying. I just read a few of the comments here and it looks like I will get the reward next year if they offer it plus my birthday voucher.

  • +1

I wonder if you can stack cashback on the non-reward portion of the purchase

  • I hope they fixed their checkout. Order failed other day with empty order in order history while PayPal payment still taken. Then put things in my cart recently and they just inserted themselves into failed order. Then placed new order which appears stuck at Card Validated.

  • got it but I couldn't find a decent bargain item to buy as I am not interested in buying any expensive item from DJ…
Any suggestions based on how you are making use of this credit?

    • +2

    • +4

Socks, undies, mug, Christmas wrapping paper

    • +4

      I bought OXO peeler!

    • +6

I buy biscuits. The shortbread DJ ones are yummy.

    • +3

I used vouchers to treat myself to yorkshire tea in a nice tin. Now I use the tins to put my coles tea bags in haha. And the other my herb & veg seeds. Handy!

  • +2

im wondering if you can you price match in store and then stack with this

    • +2

You can; it's just a gift card

    • +1

      yes

  • +7

Happens to be my Birthday today, getting both this and the Bday voucher emails back to back was a nice surprise
    (They stacked during checkout!)

    • +2

      Happy birthday!

  • I got $20 last year.

  • Can we stack multiple accounts

    • +5

Definitely not online, as the Reward is tied to specific account.

In the past (a few years ago), I managed to collate all the barcodes and PINs into a page and printed it off and took it in store. Depending on the staff, they might agree to allow you to scan each to stack when making a purchase. I did this successfully on a couple of occasions.

That said, it was a bit of a hit miss as some staff in more recent times pushed back. A bit of an akward interaction, I so opt not to do this anymore. I just look for ~$15 items online and do c&c for each account.

I see it as a bonus, not an entitlement, so not looking to push my luck these days 🍻

      • Did they ban you online and in-store yet? Multiple accounts…

      • Yeah, it varies on who you get and how you ask. You could say one's yours and the other is your partner's… that usually works. No issues stacking 2.

There's only been one occasion where they ask for a phone number or ask to see your David Jones app barcode. I thought the new app would contain the rewards, but they're still the same old barcode and pin in emails. Yay. We end up spending them on Christmas Decorations for the tree. Can't think of much else to get from DJ.

  • +3

is it not too late for new David Jones Rewards Member?

    • +1

Not too late for Dec 2026 🎉

      • I registered new to see any luck by 2025 :)

but got news after a few days the nearest DJ shop is closing in JAN!
        oh I didn't intend to trigger this…

  • +3

Didn't get the email and have nothing in my account and I had a David Jones Account since 2024

  • +11

I was able to buy a $165 DJ Gift card using this at DJ Melbourne CBD.
Paid the remaining $150 using CBA for the Commbank Yello offer( $20 cashback for $150 spend)

    • Do the gift cards in store come in fixed denomination? I have spend $100 and get $15 cashback from CBA, so the best for me is to buy a $115 gift card to get $15+$15 off.

      • +1

Nope. You can choose the denomination you want.
This was at the Concierge Desk on the Ground Floor.

      • DJ Gift cards are not eligible for cba cashback. Can you confirm?

  • +1

    Same, I got 5 ;-)

  • Hmmm. My 2 accounts got amalgamated. What did I do wrong?

    • +1

Too greedy and they figured it out, that's what happened.

  • No email but found it in my app, thanks would have missed it

  • +2

What is actually worth buying from DJs? Most things seem to be available elsewhere for cheaper.

    • Oxo peeler, oxo watermelon baller, glasshouse 30g candle, DJ shortbread biscuit - paying the balance by DJ gift card, pretty good Xmas gifts.

    • +2

Yes, but I tend to get things I normally wouldn't get because of cost.

For example, Koko Black chocolate. Their stuff is pricey, but is trivially cheap with a DJ voucher

  • Anybody tried this trick before?: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16037470/redir

In the past, people have converted the reward to a regular gift card by not collecting a c+c order - seems risky, but might be worth trying if you have nothing to buy atm…

    • It doesn't work. Rewards will not be refunded if you don't collect it.

    • +1

Doesn't work, got an email saying something about not following the terms and conditions so won't be refunded

      • +1

Damn, was working up until at least Oct this year for me. Ordered more than the voucher value though.

        • August for me, the purchase was exactly $10 as per voucher. The returns ecard is valid until 2028!

      • Disappointing! Did you lose your reward?

    • +7

Like I get you're annoyed that traditions are being removed. But why neg the deal.

    • 🤷‍♂️

  • Another tip to extend the life of the Reward (which is essentially a giftcard), is to buy an item before the expiry, and return the item as per returns policy. You'll then get a refund back onto another giftcard 🍻

    • +1

Doesn't someone above said it didn't work snanymore?

      • +1

That above scenario appears to be not collecting the c&c. I have no experience with that so can't comment.

My experience was that I collected it, and then later returned it. My case wasn't intended, it was more so that I bought something that my missus didn't think we would use and insisted for it to be returned. She was able to return it and got a returns giftcard as the refund.

        • Got it. Thanks for explaining.

  • I got this on 17 of my 24 accounts.

    • Ballin' 😎

    • How many are you brave enough to use in one transaction?

  • -8

I registered my David Jones account today but didn’t receive the $15 Reward.

    • It's a targeted offer - not all accounts (new or old) will get it.

      • -1

Disappointed. Looking forward to buying a gift for my family.

    • -7

For those who downvoted my comment (probably kids), I opened a David Jones account today for the first time because of this rewards program (as an OzBargainer). David Jones should learn from JB Hi-Fi, give back to the community, and boost sales.

  • How many voucher do you try to use in one transaction for those who have multiple accounts

    • +1

Each voucher is tied to its account.
This means it's one per transaction.

    • +2

I have done this. Some staff do not know/care. If they ask I say the second is my husband's. Maybe no more than this.

  • I haven't received the email and it is not visible in the app/website. I wonder if receiving QFF instead of rewards impacted this?

    • It doesn't; I've opted in for QFF points and saw the reward in my app.

      • OK thanks good to know

    • It's targeted.

      • fair enough but others made is seem like the target was every member! :-)

  • +1

I could only find mine in the app, mine is not visible in account other than within app and I also have to scroll way down to see it

    • scroll way down in what section / page of the app?

  • +1

For those making a last minute purchase but don't know what to buy, the entire Pyrex line is 40% off now.

    • +1

I was just looking at this and whilst most show that there is stock in various Sydney stores, when I proceed to check-out, click and collect, not a single store in Sydney has them available. Only click and collect available in WA?? Have they switched off click and collect for every other State :-)

      • +3

They turn off Click and Collect every year before Boxing Day for a day or so

        • darn!

        • Why

          • +1

@maggiemee: So you don't get angry when your Click and Collect order is cancelled due to no stock. They don't have time to fulfil online orders on Boxing Day

            • @kerfuffle: I wish they said that on their website so I didn’t waste an hour looking for things to buy yesterday.

Now I’m angry they wasted my time instead.

  • Tried to use my gift card and it says "Your Gift Card details could not be verified. Please confirm your Gift Card and pin number to proceed."

    Anyone encountering this issue?

EDIT: Working now. The $15 is a David Jones Reward, not David Jones Gift Card.

  • Anyone know if this reward expired midnight tonight or is still valid for tomorrow for some online shopping? Just says expires 25th

  • +1

Bummer, can't do click and collect anymore. And stores are closed tomorrow so can't use coupon unless I pay delivery

    • On the same boat as you… trying to find any item that’s available for click and collect or something that’s free delivered. Can return it later to convert to gift card

      • Would have to be over $100 and I don't want all that credit on David Jones where stuff is usually more expensive than other stores

        • -1

are you saying we are able to do C&C if its over $100 ? If yes, can order collect and return

  • +1

Just buy a item <$5, better than nothing! I grabbed kitchen tongs.

  • +1

David Jones you dodgy a holes. I have things at my local DJs and I now can't do Click and Collect.

    • +1

Relax lol. It’s 10 bucks and you waited until it’s almost expired before trying to do c&c.

      • I tried few days ago. Same issue. Should have gone to the store. My bad

    • Buy a $5 face towel. Delivery comes to $15

  • I have problem setting up a new delivery address for online order. After I input the new delivery address it always change back to my old address on next page. David Jones' system is weird. Frustrating. I hsvd been trying since yesterday.

    Anyone has the same experience?
