I enjoy metroid-vanias and grim dark aesthetics.
I did not enjoy Blasphemous, it leans to heavily into Darksouls approach to difficulty, namely that you're punished for not knowing enemy attack patterns and will spend significant time back tracking to get to new bosses/enemies after dying the first couple times.
Not a bad game by any stretch but jsut wasn't for me.
at $3 I'd say try it, but go in expecting that sort of repetition/difficulty
