The last game I played was the Chamber of Secrets on PS2. That flying free roam around the castle was mind-blowing in 2002.

You are 100% correct, Epic is almost certainly paying for each free copy that people checkout, sure it will be at some ridiculous discount, but money will still be changing hands for that checkout.
@nmartin84: Nope, it came out in the Apple lawsuit a few years ago that Epic pay a one off fee per title. Someone posted all the numbers from it ages back, but presumably it prevents them running out of keys or burning a much larger hole in their pockets than they expected.

Personally, I bought the game at launch, I don't blame people for boycotting it, but some were extra vile about it.
Agreed, there was an unnecessary amount of vitriol on both sides, which did nothing but harden attitudes and solidify bias.
I dunno, maybe I am too naive and still believe in fairy tales, where adults can civilly talk about the problems before them, and resolve them in a manner that is beneficial to most parties.
To be fair, she literally had people posting her private address online, threatening bomb attacks, posting kidnapping fantasies on Twitter, had to have a home invader charged, had to rescue a woman in Europe who was mistakenly identified as her daughter and harassed by activists, and has literally had to spend millions of dollars on extensive security for her entire family. All for defending the human rights of women and children. If someone thinks she's wrong, by all means say so and explain your reasoning, prove her wrong. But doxxing, cancelling, and physical threats to a person and their family are the acts of cowards.
If you love HP youll love this. Had so much fun exploring hogwarts and doing the puzzles. As someone who 100%'d the game, dont expect much from the story and gameplay outside of Hogwarts though.
Hard agree, exploring hogwarts, hogsmeade and forbidden forest was amazing, but the story and gameplay felt like i was playing Assassins Creed Wizards.

@Scalding Coffee Cup: Not really, games depreciate quite a bit. If they dont put the 2 week condition, many would be returning tons of unused games to buy them again at lower prices. Moreover EPIC/Steam would have passed on the funds to developers.

tbh i prob wont even play it - just no time to sit down and enjoy a 30-40 hour story game these days. Might just watch the highlights on youtube while doing work lol
Watching the highlights on YouTube means you never connect with anything.
Instead of watching YT 1 or 2 hours a day you could play this.

bought it few months back on steam for the wife. And completed a few weeks back. worth it :)
Could never finish the game because of the level gating for each story mission. Basically forces you to do other stuff and I found it boring.
My wife couldn't play this without getting severe nausea. I tried all the recommendations around increasing field of view, disabling upscaling, motion blur and various effects to no avail. A disproportionate amount of people online report the same. Beware.
But for free, definitely still worth a try.Free nausea, lets go!!

Jk, but seriously what sort of screen/room setup was this with? I’m trying to picture why it might cause nausea…screen too big? Screen too small? Not doubting you guys, just curious! That sucks.

Loads of people report it in both PC and console. We have a 27" screen, but also tried windowed mode down to about 20" with no luck.
Personally I get motion sick watching people doom scroll on tiktok on the train…

We love zOMG (finished the game long before it died), Rollercoaster Tycoon, Feeding Frenzy.She's played god of war, spiderman, tomb raider and Lego games without ever having this issue. Very strange but common apparently.
Strangely I got headaches from playing Hades on Switch on the OLED for hours on end. But on PC or in handheld mode it is fine. Hades II no problem on either platform
