  • Can connect to Apple?

      Yes
I've been using it for a while now and it's fine for it's pricepoint
However its fitness tracking function is not reliable, overall software itself is a bit scratchy
Above was acceptable for me, but the connection is not stable: which was also a common issue for pro 2. It's disconnected from your phone and it's not noticable until you find out by turning on your phone. It happens around 2-3 times a week and I had to use it as backup only because of this.
Overall, good looking, ok UI and band, bad funcionality and connectivity. just consider it as beefy smartband with better looks.

Terrible smartwatch. The nothing UI is still In infancy and hence there is no room for customisation and quick shortcuts for apps that I actually want. The whole watch is just cumbersome to use. The watchface is too big and it is quite sharp. Band is cheap and uncomfortable.

    pass

    • do you usually base your financial decisions off singular reviews from randoms?

    • I agree this isnt the watch for 'apps'; this is more of a 'feature watch'.

Sleep tracking, dual band GPS, long battery, speakerphone, voice recorder, notifications and quick replys (plus all the sport stuff).

If that doesnt float your boat and you want apps; 100%, wrong ecosystem for your usecase.

Depending on the bezel the watchface can be a literal baby-safe curve… There IS a 'sharp' option, but thats up to you.

The band is silicone with a stainless latch.
I wont say its any sort of amazing, but its standardised on most watches these days, and feels…. Just like any silicone band.

honestly, this is the most overrated "brand" in Ozbargain. Just another throw away bargain

    • It can never be as overrated as an iPhone.

Got 2 of these in the household.
Flawless so far for our usecase.

    • GPS Tracking is more than good enough at this price point and maps quite well.

    • Connections are rock solid, and notifications are reliable.

    • Call quality is usable, not much worse than any speaker phone really.

    • Battery life is stellar.

Sleep tracking isnt accurate, but most watches arent, this one is just a smidge less.

All in all, would buy again.

    Good analysis here:

Tldr: a little inaccurate, but predictably so, so very usable, and A+ at the price point.

I had the version 2 for a short period of time, as the cover plate came loose.
Ended up getting a refund and buying a Huawei instead.
My main concern was long term quality, apart from that loved the styling & connectivity.

    • The quantified scientist on youtube (linked above) did a deep dive into both.

Basically, the 2 was near garbage, the 3 is blowing some big brands out of the water.

His reviews are super in depth and statistics driven, very little personal opinion in them.
