    • TCN is now a part of Incomm Payments, a global gift card giant. They can even survive that Qantas screw-up so I think your money seems reasonably safe at least for now.

  • Would we see 15% off or the 10% is the best we’ll get.

Can't buy a gift card with a gift card

  • Will this stack with 10% monthly discount in Woolies?

  • Please provide large denominations so that I can buy the watch from Rebel.

Lucky for you, TCN Deluxe gift cards and TCN Active gift cards are both sold at Woolworths in a $20-$500 variable-load denomination.

GCDB mentions this deal includes the variable-load denomination (max two per day), which means you can purchase a maximum of 2x $500 gift cards per Everyday Rewards account per day.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up.

  • Cheap cheap!

  • Has anyone used TCN deluxe to get annual passes for Village Roadshow Theme Parks? Any catches?

    • +1

Used TCN Choice (equivalent Coles Product) for many purchases on the VRTP webstore, no issues (TCN card needs to be exchanged for a VRTP gift card for use online or in park).

      • Thank you..

  • Thanks OP

  • Annoyingly there is still a transaction limit on the Category Choice grocieries gift card. Tried to buy $500 worth of Uber gift cards for $450 but didnt go through. Tried to put in a $100 and it worked.

    • It's been discussed in other threads, looks like that's a payment limit in place.

  • do these cards sell out in the store fast? went to local woolies had no more TCN active =(

    • Try again tomorrow may be? There were heaps at my store at around 12:30.

  • Does buying a $30 Uber GC give you a 4c off fuel voucher?

    • +1

      No.

You will not earn a Woolworths fuel voucher if you purchase any gift cards at Woolworths or Woolworths Metro. Woolworths stopped doing this a couple of years ago (and I did not get a fuel voucher when I bought an Uber gift card yesterday).

(If you purchase a $30+ third-party gift card at a Tasmanian Woolworths, the receipt will include a message saying Present this docket any participating Tasmanian Ampol or EG Ampol co-branded fuel outlet to receive an additional 2 cents per litre off the pump price!, but you will not actually have a fuel voucher printed on the receipt nor credited to your Everyday Rewards account.)

  • Does anyone ever used TCN active on a Nike Company Store?

  • How many split payments can i do for a $300 card?
    Is 3 possible?

  • Hi, bought 2 Delux card, $300 each, as I tried to register them, it is saying balance of $0 on both.

I am a little worried now

    • Might take some time to process the load. This is the busiest time of year for gift cards.

      • Purchased at 3:45pm
How much longer do you think it might take?

    • Hey, same here. I just bought TCN Active variable for $80, and tried to use it 10 minutes after purchasing at JD. The terminal gave an error code and kept on declining. Also showed $0 when I checked balance. Had to use my card which was a bummer.

Also bought TCN Deluxe variable for $55, same case still showing $0. It does say on the card it can take up to 24 hours from time of sale to be loaded with funds so fingers crossed by tomorrow.

      • Still not working. Need to purchase stuff from SuperCheap by 5 pm. Will try calling them again today morning

        • Have you talked to them? I always just got kicked out of the hotline because they end it after a 15 minute hold. I did notice on the website there was a new advisory NOT to register, use or check balance within 24 hours of purchasing (and I literally did all 3 lol) and it's not been 24 hours for me yet so i'll see how this goes.

          • @Haunt: I called them sharp at 9 am and the operator said that the cards did not activate, pending activation. She gave me two options: New physical cards to be shipped in the new year or get it swapped for th gift cards of my likings but has to full value and only one card. I told her to swap it for SCA cards and email it to me while I was still on the phone. She did that in like 5 mins and problem solved.

You need to send pic of the activation recipts and the back of your card to support@card.gift

In subject write: Deluxe Gift Card | Call support already.

They will reply you with an incident number.

Then call on Monday 9 am and mention the incident number and they will sort it out.

I already register my cards asap and then when I try to swap, they send otp. It is secured that way. I think they have stuffed up on their end and locked your card. Don't worry too much.

          • @Haunt: Just get it swapped. New physical cards means more uncertainty.

          • @Haunt: I purchased $600 so felt the urgency to wake up at 8:59 am lol

            • @Mortin: Thanks for the info. Mine still has $0 balance after more than 24 hours and I will only be able to ring them up again on Saturday. I was not able to ring them since I wake up late due to graveyard shift, and when I did wake up they only had 30mins left before they closed so I had two tries and was not able to reach anyone. This will definitely be my last TCN gift card no matter how lucrative their offers will be and will make sure to warn everyone I know about this crap company. I would have thought they have fixed this mess after that certain YouTube video went viral but seems like they're still full of crap.

Unbelievable this happens in the first place. I didn't buy that much but this inconvenience is too much and not worth it for $13.5 of savings.

      • There are 2 potential explanations:
        1. TCN's activation server might be having issues over the past couple of days. I've seen quite a few cases of cards bought over the past few days failing to activate.
        2. TCN might have restored the old way of scratch fraud prevention. If you check your cards too soon/before they are activated, the card will be permanently disabled. The balance check page now states that "Please allow up to 24 hours from time of purchase before checking your balance or registering your card." Why 24 hours? My guess is sometimes their system have glitches and activation will take up to 24 hours to cover their ass.
The proper way to implement 2 will be to decline activation at the POS if a card was prematurely checked and requesting a refund to be issued to the customers. They also need to print the new rule big & clear on the activation slip so people can be aware of it.

        • Hopefully it's the former. Their customer service phone lines will reopen on the 5th of January according to their IVR, and i'm going to be stuck with them for a while.

  • Bought Deluxe the morning this deal started and just redeemed them at OzDesign Furniture for their Boxing Day sale. Was nervous holding onto so much balance for a week but cards still had their balance and were accepted with no issues.

    • True, the amount of mental stress it caused, not worth it at all. I usually get it swapped straight away, that way it is protected. Also, if you register your card, then it now requires OTP for it to get swapped.

    • They just have a very bad system at the moment. And get it from Coles, this is the second time Woolworth ones gave me trouble. Also, prepaid Lebara sim from woolworths hardly activates without calling support.

  • So just an update from me, I was able to reach out to TCN via email since their phone lines were closed til the 5th of January. Apparently my cards got locked by their security so they would need to post me a new one. Seems like they have beefed up their security as I immediately tried to use in-store it a few minutes after purchasing and registered/checked balance as well immediately. I can see this deterring the TCN scam that got viral a few months ago, which I guess is a good thing.

    • Now hopefully the new cards don't get lost on their way
