Google Pixel 10 Pro XL 256GB $1549 Delivered @ Google Store

503

Just saw this on sale when searching for the cheapest 10 Pro XL.

The 10 is also on sale from $899 Delivered.

Really trying to get rid of my iPhone 16 Pro Max and trying to find the best pixel to go back to.

It looks like delivery for this is mid to late Jan 2026 so I may just hold out a couple more weeks before getting one (and try to sell my iPhone in the meantime).

First iPhone I’ve owed since the iPhone 6. Only had it a couple months before they screwed everything with iOS26.. Regretted ever leaving Pixel.

      • Hi OP, do you mind to elaborate further? I recently thinking about switching to iPhone after been using Moto and Pixel phones all the while.
What are the few main issues you have moving from Pixel to iPhone? TIA.

        • +1

This is really going to come down to personal preference, what OP's experience with iPhones are won't always mean your experience will be the same, i've been daily driving both an iphone (for work) and an android (Samsung and Pixels) for personal for a good decade+, my preference is Android and i like the flexibility of being able to buy it from different phone manufacturers and not to be tied into the one hardware provider, I also don't like iOS and much prefer android OS.

In saying that for how i use the phone either ecosystems would work just fine.. and a big portion of my decision is personal preference that may not apply to another person, Apple products as a whole are really well made and well supported, apart from the high entry cost i would say there's no harm in trying an iphone. Although i would suggest checking out some of the feedback out there around iOS26 .. i'm also no a fan of the aesthetics of the new OS.

      • Not sure what you on about. There have been bugs yes but overall iOS 26 has been great. I love the liquid glass interface and every update is making it better.

    • +48

You must have lot of free time. You made stupid comment every time you don’t like the deal. Suggest go get a job to keep you brain working 😂

  • +2

$899 is for the Pixel 10, not the Pixel 10 Pro as stated

    • Sorry about that. Fixed.

  • +1

The 10 Pro is also on sale from $899 Delivered.

    Where? I see it at 1699$ :x

    • Yeah sorry about that. Fixed the post.

  • If 10 pro is 899, it will be sold out already

  • +10

I will get downvoted by the google gangstas but as a guy who owns an iphone AND a pixel, there's no point in getting a pixel unless significantly cheaper

    • +4

My issue is with iOS26. It’s just killed my productivity. So I’m doing my best to switch back.

      • Can you elaborate? I'm on a Pixel and I'm trying to discern moving to an iPhone when a good deal comes along

      • +4

In what ways does iOS26 kill your productivity?

      • +1

Productivity? Wtf are you doing on your phone that requires you to be productive?

      • +1

What specifically in iOS 26 has killed your productivity? Fundamentally the OS does the exact same things as the version before except for the interface overlay aka liquid glass.

    • +1

      Why do you say that

      • That's the point of apple, kiss 😃

        • +6

I paid $500 for the P8P and can comfortably say that's all it was worth. I would never pay any more than 1k for a flagship Pixel phone. Google fanboys can neg me all they like, but in reality, their phones are garbage. I would rather give my money to Samsung.

          • +5

@[Deactivated]: The phones aren't garbage, but Android phones are for intelligent people. Few and far between in 2025. That being said, S25U for 800-950 on launch deals is what an intelligent person would buy. So in conclusion, you're wrong but also right about this deal

            • +1

              @cheaptech20:

but Android phones are for intelligent people

              Ozbargain, you upvoted this???????????????????

              • @nikoris: You clearly on ios 😃

              • +4

@nikoris: Sure, Apple users don’t have lower intelligence… they just outsource more thinking to a tightly controlled ecosystem that makes choices for them.

                • -3

@cheaptech20: Or you could inherit the mess that is Android fragmentation both device and software and try and somehow make it work.

                  • +2

@dealsucker: Android perfectly works out of the box.
It's just that it has way more "options" for the people who has the time and is smart enough to do a lot more with the device, when they need it.

It is nice to have "options" rather than living with only the choices daddy Apple gives you, you know.

          • @[Deactivated]: Lol you argued against me when I made this point last time.
Now you are agreeing with me

    • +7

Me too. I previously owned a Pixel 7 and I was surprised to find it was so unstable. The built-in Google apps kept randomly crashing, including the Photos app. It took a couple of weeks/months before it was fixed, but I was annoyed that this was even an issue.

Looking at the Pixel 10 review, it seems they actually downgraded the main sensor compared to the last generation.

I’m now using iPhone because it’s consistent (albeit a bit boring) and has a great ecosystem that just works. I do miss Android notifications and the back gesture, but that’s about it.

If I did ever switch back to Android it wouldn’t be a Pixel. Likely either a Xiaomi or OPPO.

      • +2

They downgraded the base Pixel 10, not the 10 Pros to add a tele lens but still a dumb move IMO. Compromising the main camera and undermining one of their few selling points to save a few bucks is super short sighted.

        • This is disappointing. I got a Pixel 7 Pro after years of Motorola when Motorola downgraded the cameras in later G models. The camera in the P7P briefly was much better than my family members' older iPhones, but now they've upgraded their photos of the same scene are almost always better than mine.

      • +4

        GrapheneOS to the rescue

      • +1

The fact that you can't back gesture from either side made me switch back to android lol. Such a small change apple could make, but apple being apple, they won't because they know better.

    • +1

      unless significantly cheaper

This is like $650 cheaper then the equivalent iPhone and it is still not the one that a real bargain hunter would get.

    • +1

Hmmm. I went to an iphone for about 6 months, just didn't click with me, went back to a pixel. Everyone's different mate.

    • +2

Same. Infact I would not go pixel at all. My second phone is an android and it is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and it smokes the pixel at everything. And for all the negative noise over hyperos, i dont mind the OS at all. I quite like it infact

    • Idk mate, it's 2025 and Siri is the shittiest assistant out there. Apple has agreed to pay Google 1 Billion each year to use Gemini last time I heard.

What is iPhone actually better at over a Pixel?
Gaming performance and Video quality? Yes if someone does a lot of video capture with their phone or kids wanting to play games on their phone, and iPhone or an Android with Snapdragon processor will be better than Tensor chips designed with AI in mind.

Outside of these two applications enlighten me how iPhones are objectively better than a Pixel nowadays, and what makes them worth being more expensive than a Pixel

      P. S I have a MacBook pro and and iPad mini I don't have anything against Apple.

  • +3

Why is this on the front page with just 5 positive votes?

    • Depends on your profile settings, you can adjust how easily stuff reaches your FrontPage. If logged out it will likely be different.

    • Pretty quiet day

  • +2

such horrible deal. Crazy anyone would even consider this at this pricepoint.

  • +6

Can get an oppo find x9 pro at this price point lol

    • +1

      Absolutely, much better value!

    • Where's the cheapest you can get an x9 pro? I see it for about 1600.

      • I got mine from mobyshop. Paid 1511 all up. You can ask them to declare the value to be < 1000 aud to avoid paying import fee.

        • -1

+1, I got mine from there, declare around 700SGD

        • Meaning you pay more but the invoice is of lesser value or do they inflate shipping cost more?

    • Absolutely. No contest. Oppo Find X9 Pro is the best smartphone of 2025. Battery life insane and compares to my family members' iphone 17 Pro, camera is way better especially in the hdr, colour realism and portrait shots.

Pixels are just not a flagship anymore and camera is no longer a top dog. Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi has way surpassed it. I would not get it even if it is $1K as I would rather pay a few hundred more for an Oppo or Vivo.

  • +7

    As a pixel fanboi.

This just doesn't seem worth it to me? Am I crazy in saying that.

Pixel Pros are Google's flagship but they focus too much on AI and such.. I wouldn't care about the performance numbers, if it meant insane efficiency and battery life. But not only is the battery life worse than previous gen, it's still not meaningfully faster compared to the competition..

I loved my pixel 5 til I borked it, but it was a good combination of just fast enough mid range processor and amazing battery life. But it also didn't cost me 1.5k. Paid 750 for my p7 not long after launch (again because I borked my p5).. Still running it, 3 years later.

And my biggest complaint? Surprise surprise is the battery lol. It was somehow worse than the P5 (2 years old) brand new! Without any real massive performance bump in day to day. I mostly wfh, so battery drain generally isn't a big deal for me most days, but if I'm out and about, head to the office (i.e also up 2hrs earlier) etc, it'll need a charge mid arvo to last the remainder of the day.

Comeonnn Google. Let's give hardware a focus next gen!

    • +3

Agreed with you on this one. Wait till around Feb next year and there will be more aggressive deals (like there have been in previous years).

    • -7

This just doesn't seem worth it to me?

      No sht bro.

    • +2

Yep agree, (ex) Pixel fanboy here, P1/3/6P/8P/P9PF …to an Oppo X9P now and so far happy with the switch. Pixel's premium pricing with mid-spec hardware is my primary reason to switch. $1500+, midspec hardware with 256GB, and considered as a deal nowadays ..heh.

They used to lead with their camera (photos only), but other brands have caught up and surpassed them. Videos performance on the other hand, was and still is subpar compared to other flagships.

      • +1

I want to try Oppo find x9 pro but $2299 price is stopping me. I can’t justify to pay that much for Chinese phone which I don’t know how long they will support it. Many Chinese phones stop supporting after 2 years and they encourage you to buy a new model.

        • X9p is around $1500 delivered from Moby singapore with official oppo international warranty. Oz pricing is crazy tho. Oppo gets 5yr os updates.

          • @techdave: Is the included import tax? $1500 is not bad 😄

            • -1

@Dumpshid: No import tax, you could tell them how much to declare :). Around 700SGD should do it.

    • +2

I like the Pixel because it's bare-basic Android.. And it gets the latest updates first..

That said, I also think paying so much for the Pixel series is too much..

So what should I get ? Which android phone has the performance and battery life, without the bloat, whilst maintaining a bare-minimum android version?

      • +1

        Last years pixel

      • I have a Vivo x100 Ultra which I bought off Ali express, does not support voice commanded assistant, well it does but not very well in English but barring that it is miles above other android offerings in terms of hardware and photography. The battery life is insane, as is the zoom lense and a 1 inch sensor. I have had it for 2 years now and while I miss my 20 Fe , the origin OS that this thing rocks is a lot more customisable if you know what you are doing and now they have newer models . But it is a case to case scenario, not everyone wants to fiddle around to get the best out of the software and hardware combo, you do not sound like you need a Vivo or a Pixel, Samsung is probably the best bet for you if you intend to come back into the Android world. Unless of course you liked specific elements of the pixel experience, in which case check whether the phone you are buying offers it before putting your money down would be my opinion. Unless you are in a rush, this is not really a good price for a Pixel 10 btw.

      • Pixel 9 pro on sale for 750 or less is a solid phone. Unless you need an XL size phone. In which case idk. I'm not a big phone guy. Did the nexus 6p once and it's just too unwieldy for me.

      • +3

the moto phones which often go on sale around $200-$300 are more than enough enough for 99.99% of people. especially if you choose one with 12gb ram.

      • +1

        S25U.

    • Pixel 4 XL was my favourite. Last with the flagship Snapdragon.

      • +1

I still have my P4XL to use for uploading/backing up pics without counting to the data limit. So many forward thinking features at the time too, but in typical Google fashion they were discontinued.

I did try P7Pro, but the modem went crazy and kept dropping signal. I got a refund and got a Moto Edge 30 Ultra, which I love how it works so well.

Sadly, I "upgraded" to a P9a on a recent sale, but have found it a backwards step, as all my apps reload from scratch (it's never in memory) - I think it's going from 12gb ram back to 8gb ram.

But at least I will have security updates for another 6yrs.

    • +1

Hardware isn't Google's core business. They just don't care.

      • +1

Exactly this. They throw shit at a wall and hope it sticks. The amount of items they’ve released and abandoned is beyond belief.

      • I am pretty sure this is not a tech forum, if you can find a better deal of the same product than OP then your neg can be justified. Otherwise, please just leave it be.

  • +1

Not a great deal tbh. Could get it from JB for 1200-1300 when it launched.
It'll be an okay deal if you can price match at officeworks
    **and use ultimate gift card

    • I would suggest to wait for Boxing Day. Normally deals are better after Christmas 😄

        • +3

Honestly everyone is just annoying you just like you annoy them when you neg their post with no evidence.
They will neg you even if they agree with you.

Jumping wagon to say bad deal in almost every post has become an addiction for you and using the excuse of protecting the buyer won't hold for long
Spread some positivity from time to time bro

          • -1

            @Mo93:

when you neg their post with no evidence.

One, I rarely neg posts. Look at my history. I've only negged about 10 posts and they're all scams.

Jumping wagon to say bad deal in almost every post has become an addiction for you

Nice armchair psychology post hoc ergo propter hoc. That's literally my thing.

Spread some positivity from time to time bro

Then what do you call this?

But do tell people that this $1.6k phone is a google deal 😂

Furthermore, if you want more armchair psychology, it's you falling for neg brigades thinking the negs on my comments are organic when they're not, inflating perceptions of supposed annoyance, affecting even you.

            • @marshmall0w2: Hey man I'm agreeing with you in this post. All I'm saying is people are trying to troll you because you troll them in comments.
You don't always talk shit. Sometimes you make more sense then most people here

            • @marshmall0w2: What the hell are you talking about? It’s a hot day, just go drink cool water. It will claim down your mental health problem 😂

        • I am not saying this is a bad deal but saying to wait for a better deal. 🤣 take your time to read it. I know you can’t wait to get back to people.

      • I meant if the OP really wants it badly rn
I wouldn't touch this with 10foot pole unless it drops sub 1000. Idk why op is downgrading from 16 pro max to pixel 10 pro xl
Fyi before anyone attacks me, not an iphone fan boy. I love my samsung

  • Sign up for free Google One AI Pro 2 TB plan trial and get 10% back in Google Store credit?

Anyone know if it will work with trial?

edit: Found the answer. It's a no.

Google One trial memberships and family group members aren't eligible.

I guess signing up to 1 month paid subscription of Premium is the best option.

  • Excellent Aussie perspective on why the regular non-pro Pixel 10 (or most other brands) are the better buy: https://youtu.be/COzJTh65q00?si=iisUbBQtdtVUK8Vv

  • Same processor as Pixel 10?

  • I'm actually considering a Xiaomi 15T Pro instead of going to another Pixel after my P6Pro. So let's see some more steep discounts please!

  • -2

Price match with a local retailer. Google store customer support is horrendous if you have any warranty issues.

    • Officeworks then?

      • sign up a plan with Vodafone and you will get this phone for $998 in two year or three year plan

    • Ive had pretty good service from Google on warranty but ive seen some horror stories on reddit.

    • +1

Never had issues with Google Support print the form courier picks the item up new one comes

  • Does any code like unidays or student beans work for this? Looking to get one for my dad :)

  • +3

Bad deal .. these were only $1100 a few weeks when I bought mine ..

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/936629

    • -2

You can’t get that deal anymore. Why mention about that. This is the good deal at the moment. We live in a present not in the past. Stay positive mate.

      • But that is like saying I should post an ozbargain deal on an RRP priced item when there are no deals today.

        • -1

Why would you waste your time posting RRP deal? Are you some kind of attention seeker? 😂

          • @Dumpshid: This post is not far off RRP compared to the real ozbargain only a few weeks. Not sure why people are paying $1549 because it is not even close to an ozbargain.

  • At this price you may as well go for the fold screens (pixel but fold screen) I'm just waiting for GrapheneOS to support the fold screens then I'll get it. Also use FUTO keyboard and FUTO voice input. Why are you sending your keystrokes to Google or third parties?

  • Still laughing in Pixel 9 Pro XL for $679…

  • Overpriced phone with poor battery life. Still the same modem chipset since 8…. Everyone on reddit knows or xda

Honestly google need to stop releasing phones with this modem chipset. This is still overpriced. It only worth less than $900

I say Xiaomi or Oppo you get more out of them

Relying on cameras alone no longer cut it

    • My Pixel 10 Pro XL is faster & more responsive for day to day than my Fold 7 .. based on animations at 0x.

Voice typing is not usable with Fold 7.

If you're a gamer, then YMMV.
