Even better!!!!!
Updated the price in deal
Eh probably better deal than the eufy.. but at 2k, I'd be expecting a lot more
eg. picking up dog turds (and for maybe $300 more, flinging them at intruders)
I'll pay $3000 more if it can fling them at the dog owners who left the turds
I feel these have limited use cases. Unlike a robot vacuum, which works well for the majority of people, these have caveats that make them not useful for most people.
and so on and so forth.
For some people this is fine, but for most others you are either better off DIY or paying a gardener rather than getting a half-job done for 2 grand.
I agree it won't suit everyone, but I have had a Ecovacs Goat G1 for 2 years now, and it has been brilliant. Many people bring up the dog poo argument which I don't agree with - you have to clean it up whether you have a regular mower or a robot mower. My Goat can't reach all areas and also doesn't do the edges, but it still does 80% of the job for me making the mowing on the weekend a pretty quick task. With this heat, any minutes I can avoid being in the sun is a bonus. I also don't need a power plug in the yard. My Goat station is on the patio (where the power plug is) and I just mapped my yard to include a portion of the patio - simple.
Other advantages are:
- you can mow frequently so your grass is always looking nice (I'm currently mowing every 2 days)
- frequent mowing means no clumps of cut grass
- it is so quiet you can barely hear it.
Just my 2c.
Your reply reminded me on this :)
In any case, yes, like I said, there are people who find it useful, that's why the product exists.
But also, most people don't find it useful, that's why less people have these than a robot vacuums.
A bit off topic, but what grass you have if you feel you need to cut it that often? I have mostly soft leaf buffalo which is the least care-free and slow growing. I also have some unfortunate patches of some random Bunnings grass (grew from seeds) which grow at least 3x faster. I hate them, ripping them out piece by piece as the buffalo takes over.
I have Sir Walter, and at this time of year in Brisbane it grows like crazy, especially with the rain we've been having. Even mowing every second day I can still see the difference between where it is has mowed and the edges (where it can't mow).
People who want to not buy a robot lawn mower can do so for $0 for a limited time!
Isn't that the same caveats as a vacuum? My robovac can't go up and down the stairs, would chew through phone cords (and probably dog poo if I had one) requires a large space for the docking station, and can't get into the edges
People need to adjust their expectations, robot vacuum also will never clean as good as human with corded vac and mop.. But your floor will be cleaner most of the time because it clean every 2 days instead of every 1 months.
You can always watch Netflix when it need to cut your outside lawn.
Omni Consumer Products presents …. the ED-209 mk1 … i mean A1 Pro Robotic Lawn Mower
We're giving robots a spinning rotating blade. This is how skynet started.
Easier to avoid than a car?
should have posted the deal, but I didn't so downvote away.
during the black friday sale I got an eccovacs G1 for around $900 from ebay with the discount code.
doesnt have multipe map zones (for front and back), and needs pillars that you install in the yard (depending on the size of the yard you might need to buy more at $200 each)..
but if you can wait for boxing day sales, I would wait to see what else comes on the market.
Is it cooler to have a robot mower or a robot that mows your lawn?
I highly doubt either would change the temperature
It’s cooler to kill your lawn
I've written a review here.
