Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB is $100 cheaper than OW.

Checking with OW, they do not price beat Costco as it is membership tied warehouse.
First time checking with the agent, they denied offering price beat against umart claiming that the website does not provide barcode of identifcal product, therefore I closed the chat.
Upon reopening another, agent claiming unable to offer price beat over phone (or chat), but recommended to go into local store and use the URL link to price beat.

            @whtbox: Have they heard of a clean up? I literally went through my photos and deleted all the junk photos or random shit. Took my Google storage down by more than half. I do not take any videos also.

              @itsmoe: My wife do a lot of videos of our kids. So her 12 pro 512 is 60gb of freespace left. She is getting 17 pro max 1TB as that's what she wants.

              I got 2TB Google cloud which she use as a backup, but still want it on her phone as well. So oh well. It'll last her a while.

                @whtbox: I wouldn't trust phones much these days, I would rather have everything on the cloud in case of a sudden failure.

                The extra money for a 1tb iPhone would probably cover the 2Tb subscription for a year at least.

          I admitted their camera technologies are way better than IPhone, pixel or Samsung but their support still far behind IPhone. You still can get a part or battery for iPhone 8 but i don’t think you will get parts for 3 years old Chinese phone. They tend to make you buy a new phone rather than repairing it. Just my opinion 😄

      But phone prices in general are ludicrous and made up. They should be trending down, particularly with how minor the annual performance improvements in all models are these days. I replaced my S22 ultra with an S25 ultra because the battery was starting to deteriorate and with my contract expiring the incentives meant no extra out of pocket to upgrade (literally cheaper than replacing the battery).

      I can't overstate how ludicrous the margins must be on these devices that they can give me what's supposedly a $2200 phone "free" on a $2280 24 month contract.

        Those phone companies will not drop their price as long as people are still buying. For me high pricing is not an issue, you don’t have to replace your phone every year. I am still using iPhone 13 and I don’t feel any difference from 16 pro max. For iPhone you can use up to 8 years before they stop supporting so $3000 devide by 8, it like $1 a day. Even they stop supporting you still can use it so depend on how people use their phone.
