  • Anyone has any luck asking for about partial refunds with dell? Just ordered this last week for $1050 and it hasn’t even arrived yet

    • +3

They're usually fairly good. Open a chat with them.

      • +4

only bit the bullet as had a $200 cashback on my Amex bringing it down to $849… but I'm hoping for a $120 refund to bring it down to $729 all paid!

        • AMEX credit might not apply to Dell outlet. Let us know how it went.

          • +4

@isdnman: It was confirmed in the original Coupon Thread. Dell Outlet is eligible for Amex Credit.

          • @isdnman: Oh it went through about 30 mins after the original purchase, showed as the $-200 Dell Australia Pty Ltd in the Amex app.

    • +1

I'm in the exact boat! Fingers crossed, because it's now out of stock and that might hurt our chances. If in stock and the lower price, that would help!

      • Woot! Just got an email from them and they issued me a $120 refund! Total price for my AW3225QF is now $729! Now to cross my fingers and hope it turns up 1, not damaged and 2, without any defects.

  • +1

now I am regretting that I didn't pull the trigger when the oled s3225qc is on sale @$7xx

    • +2

      Mine arrived today. $753.83

Haven’t unboxed yet. Looking forward to it. 😛

      • What deal was this?

        • +1

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/930955
That atl base price ($899.90) plus edu discount (15%). There was an 11% coupon if you didn’t qualify for edu.

The price is back to $1299 now.

      • Did you unbox it yet? Mine arrived yesterday and unboxed this morning… DOA :(
Hoping they can repair / replace rather than just refund…

  • Thank you. With another $120 saved, bought 1 S3225QF

  • +2

I've been rocking their 32" OLED for a few months now and even though I paid slightly more than the price here I have ZERO regrets! Absolutely awesome screen. Highly recommend it.

  • Is refurb means they have been repaired?

    • +5

I know the AW2725Q had some issues when first released. Mine died within 2 weeks. Dell apparently replaced all of them. So yeah, Dell should have quite a lot of these repaired ones in hand.

    • Typically yes but it also could be a customer has opened it, maybe used it and returned it.

    • +1

I ordered the refurbed 32inch 4k about 12 months ago.
Its been working flawlessly. Couldn't really tell it was refurbished. Easy way to save a few hundred bucks with the same 3-Year warranty.

  • +5

One of the greatest monitors ive ever owned.

  • +2

Paid $1099 for the 32'' one at the end of last year, and it's one of the best monitors I've ever owned. Highly recommend.

  • +1

The 27" says its in stock, but when you add it to cart get error - The requested qty is not available

  • is dell outlet part of dell.com for credit card offers?

  • +2

This monitor sucks. I bought one at full price and have already had it die once in what looks to me a design error. Just Google "alienware aw2725q not waking up from sleep". This is what happened to me and seems a lot of other people too. When/if it happens, expect a free weeks RMA dance while you convince them it's broken and then get an RMA.

    • +2

Pretty sure they fixed this, thats why they are refurbs.

      • +4

I've constantly seen the the issue reported on rev0 and rev1. Just saying, there's issues with this monitor. If you're dropping a lot on a monitor, throwing the dice on this one seems risky. Don't get me wrong, mine is working fine now, and it's a great monitor when working, but after all my looking into it when mine died, this seems to be a fundamentally broken monitor.

        • +2

I don't see how anyone purchasing a Dell monitor would be "throwing the dice". Warranty is there for a reason. And Dell's always been great in replacing monitors in advance of sending the old one back.

I will only ever buy a Dell OLED, especially for their burn in warranty.

          • +3

@CrushJelly: Each to their own. I didn't personally enjoy being without a monitor and therefore use of my computer over a known manufacturing defect. Yes, warranty process worked, I got an RMA and new monitor, but I was also without a computer for a week through the RMA process.

            • @jaymzrsa: Meanwhile, my motherboards died. X670e tomahawk.. bought through umart, sydney, took my PC into them almost a month ago.. and ive been told today repairs are delayed by manufacturer MSI. It was 14 mths old. All highend parts.. and they are saying I might need to pay to install it.. as if didnt already pay to have the thing built ffs. 4 weeks, looks like ill be without for 6.

Thank god i bought a ps5 pro on black friday.

      • +4

Have a look through this and follow some links. This is a new thread so presumably also using "fixed" monitors.

    • Mine died from the same thing, I got a refund and am now waiting another year or two before I dive into something new.

    think the 32" is OOS

  • Both OOS

Too late now for others, but wanted to confirm the AMEX offer appears to work from Outlet. Got an email not too long after order from AMEX saying I had used the offer.

    • +1

damn good to know still i guess, its until end of Jan

  • +1

bought 34' instead, with $200 cashback from AMEX.
    thanks OP

  • +2

Was finally able to add it to cart, must of been an issue on dells end.

  • +1

Holding out for sub $700 32 inch/4k deal

    • Well it’s already $729 with the Amex cash back offer

  • -1

Quite tempting but not sure if my 5070ti can really handle quality 4k.

    • +1

      Play upscaled 1080p then

      • +2

I run Arc Raiders on a 4070 Super, 4k, medium settings, DLSS, sits at 100 fps, feels great

        • +2

Arc Raiders runs on a potato. I know because I've put 200 hours into in on my potato.

    • There's been 4k games for a decade. You don't have to play strictly AAA games with everything 4k maxed. I have a 4070ti and play most games at 4k. 4k also downscales to 1080 much better for competitive games.

  • The 27” VA panels are only $249 as well.

  • Getting not enough quantity error

    • Kept getting the same thing. After opening it a few times it allowed me to order.

  • I placed a order and dell portal shows pending payment, is it normal?
I couldn't find charge on my amex card yet.

    • same with me

    • +1

Same for me. Placed order yesterday. Card got charge today. Also received email confirming I have used Dell AMEX offer.

  • Just bought the 27" 4k QD-OLED, Seems like a good enough deal for me to justify the upgrade.

  • +1

Got my AW2725Q earlier today, found no dead pixels or scratches

A02 but it's a small sticker covering the original A00 and the screws under the monitor mount are slightly stripped so it's been most likely refurbished with components from rev A02
I'm assuming the refurbished monitors are the returns from the black screen issue but fixed

Other than that it's a huge upgrade for me coming from a lower end 1080p IPS screen with 60% sRGB coverage

    • should i be concerned if my sticker says A01?

      • not sure, but rev A00 and A01 are the ones i've read that have the issue and i don't think dell would be shipping any faulty models now given the issue has been supposedly fixed in A02 with dell recalling and replacing rev A00 and A01 with A02

though if it does say A01 i don't think it would hurt to try get a replacement

  • +1

received my 34' AW3423DWF yesterday with next day delivery from Dell.

not in the original but a plain box with Dell logo only, the whole monitor looks new including the screen without any scratches or fingerprints & marks, smooth like a mirror.
packed with original cables without a user manual and a wiping cloth.

The firmware is already at the latest out of the box, overall I am very happy with the monitor at $699 plus further tax reduction.

    • Same, except mine doesn't have the latest firmware. It has M2B107. But M2B108 only fixes some eARC compatibility stuff and I don't plan to use eARC so it's fine.
