this is the super wide light one I originally posted. ATL and Prime not a requirement like previous [Prime] $16.99 deal.

super wide beam reaching to the edges of your vision making it great for cleaning/hobbying indoors even during the day. because of the wide and even light, you will not get blinded and will catch every speck and spot of where you are cleaning.
my friend doesn't recommend using the motion sense on/off, it gets annoying quick (turns off if you walk past a cabinet, turns on walking past a tree branch etc). just use the single right button, using the headlamp with it is more than easy.

edit: forgot to mention the red light mode was very very dim on the blukar. might be good for not waking during camping, but I wouldn't buy it for strong red light, I recommend the H35R Sofirn instead which has very bright red light it's to the point of too bright on maximum. 😂

USB-C charging.

saw the Nitecore one posted for $20 but that one is AA powered, I think this one with USB-C rechargeable lithium battery makes it a more convenient choice it probably gets brighter too (because AAA is 1.5V, Lithium is 3.7V). if you are camping a AA one might come in handy, because you can swap the battery instead of charging.

compared friends Blukar (the one in this deal) with my H35R headlamp side by side, and my estimate for the blukar's brightness is 280lm~300lm on high, 150lm on low.

tbh I never use my H35R above 450lm (medium). but I also don't use it outside only indoors.

I will name my children when I have them, using Amazon brand names. Meet my son and baby daughter, HOFISH and BLUKAR.

These work great, but after awhile the main beam (single LED) dies. I've had 2x of them and they both lasted for about 6 months of everyday use.

      Thanks for sharing, pass then

      • ymmv, but it's from amazon so it's always easy to refund or replace.

also keep in mind what I wrote in post, I'm not recommending it for experts who might need more brightness or battery life. I would recommend the Sofirn H35R instead.

but for something you need to grab around the house once a week, or house maintenance, it's a great cheap option imo.

Thanks for the notes but if it dies in six months will Amazon still offer a refund or replacement?

        • I'm not complaining about the product, it's pretty darn bright thus me using it as a mechanic every single day…. until they both died haha.

I easily got a refund with Amazon and spent that money back buying something on Amazon again.

    • but after awhile the main beam (single LED) dies.

I think you are thinking of the other Blukar model, the one with both spotlight and floodlight?

the one in this deal is just a single line of 5 or 6 LED's, they all turn on and off at the same time. friend has this one for over a year now and still works fine.

      • Ahh yes, that may be the case. I'm not saying it's a bad product at all though!

  • Ordered thanks

Bought and used it one time on a hike which we underestimated to be back before dark. Good wide range, this got 3 of us back to safety with only myself wearing this (and other two complimenting with their iPhone torch mode) after couple of hours of hiking past nightfall in the middle of nowhere in thick snow. I paid a similar very close price for it as this and ROI was received on that single use.

      Good wide range,

yes the wide range (nice even wide lighting left to right, top to bottom infront of wearer) is the most impressive thing about this product. in wideness of beam it actually beats my H35R sofirn, which has a bit of a brightspot in the middle too which can blind you a bit if you look at a wall close up, and just gives the effect of the light not being as wide.

the only other thing I can comment is while the Blukar more than bright enough for indoor use, I think the ultra wideness of the beam on Blukar makes the perceived brightness a bit less when you go outdoors, and the Sofirn H35R will do better not only because it can get much brighter but the bright spot in the middle actually helps more to see in the distance when it's dark.

The elastic headband of it warps after about 6 month. Otherwise it is ok.
