Nope, processed as SingaporeAir Australia.
But if you book a return separately, it will be in the departure country currency, eg Amsterdam is in Euros + fee
Thanks!
Remember this is an Amex promotion, so if its AUD you don't need to worry where its processed as they don't the AUD > USD > AUD processing of Visa or Mastercard
I normally use PayPal to avoid international fees, as Singapore Air charged me a percentage when using Mastercard.
5% off with Singapore Airline is nothing 😴
Not exactly generous
Pathetic credit really
Ridiculous discount of <5% and requiring >$4,000 min spend…Do better SQ
I think you’re meant to stack it, and then it can sweeten a good deal
Singapore airline charges transaction fees even when transactions comes up in aud! For example I bought ticket forAUS$1217.73 & they charged Aud$35.47 commission which would only show if you expand the transaction!
Was the flight originating in Australia? I haven't had transaction fees for flights that originated in Australia and were charged in AUD
Only if the travel didn't originate in Australia! All transaction are shown in AUD, the expansion shows the eg: SGD or EUR amount plus the conversion fee.
Everyone complaining about 5% whereas when retailers like Woolworths or Amazon offer 5% gift cards, people rush to buy them.
I was planning to book with Singapore Airlines anyway, so an extra $200 saved is still a benefit.
You can also potentially stack this with 1% TopCashback, which is another $40+.
Every dollar counts.
Does SQ charge intl transaction fee for bookings from Australia?
