Just was looking for a cheap dashcam camera and purchased this a few days ago. It was originally $162 but is $129 after applying a coupon (unsure what the criteria is for the coupon). The coupon was just available on the page (tick box).

24/10 update: Coupon no longer required.

I am impressed by the image quality in the day and night. There is no need for signing up to their platform. The app is smooth to use as well and there is no lag when streaming videos from the device. There is no need to download the app either as you can just eject the SD card and view the videos from it.

It has in-built GPS which tracks vehicle location and speed.

    I've got this one.. its pretty good… dont forget to take off the black plastic sticky protective Camera cover otherwise it only records black nothing making it useless.

    How well does the 48‑hour parking monitoring feature work? I recently experienced a hit‑and‑run while my car was parked overnight, and I really don’t want to go through that again.

    Do I need to hard‑wire the dash cam directly to the car battery for this feature to work, and if so, will it drain the battery quickly?

      I bought the hardwire kit but didn't bother installing it yet. Without it, it won't turn on unless you have the car running.

        Yeah… I am using one without this kit, and it has taught me a hard lesson. I don't have a garage, but a grass lawn for parking in front of my entry. I parked on the street for just two nights because the heavy rains made the lawn swampy… Somebody hit and ran, and I had to pay the excess by myself. Haven't gotten my police report yet, but I assume it won't provide me with any further clues.

      Just checked the hardwire kit's info page: "IPS Power Management: Combined with ddpai dashcam's IPS power management system, vehicle voltage is intelligently monitored to prevent battery drain." So I guess this answered my second question.

      I have z60 pro and it is indeed great. Got it for approx $140 from Ali express during black friday + cashback.

      Interesting point is z60 pro mentions about have sony stravis2 sensor but no such mentions on this newer z50 pro model.

    I have exactly same model. Happy with it so far. The footages are clear. It automatically shoots photos when the car bumps, or you can say "take photo" to command it. Connect to my phone to access the videos very easy too. Would recommend

    Anyone purchased this and installed to external battery? I noticed the battery drains really quickly after install. Suspect it’s the screen being turned on (screensaver), while the app doesn’t seem to let you turn the screen off after x seconds
