  • Incredible monitor, use it for programming on Mac, get full 240Hz and can never go back

    • +9

It's important to get 240hz oled for programming, can confirm.

      • Don’t need to remember code if it’s burnt into the monitor

        • I pixel refresh twice daily and turn it off when I leave the room. The buttery smooth motion and blacks are worth it, text is super crisp being a 27" 4K. It's an incredible monitor, especially at this price point and I have 0 concern given the 3 years burn in warranty.

    • also program on this monitor can confirm

  • This or the previous oled 27' for 590 ?

      Probably a QHD 500Hz QD-OLED when they hit this price, otherwise a 4K 240Hz for under $700.

  • waiting for a model this size that does dual mode 1080p 480z, I play fast shooters too.

  • Thanks OP, almost caved in and bought a Lenovo 4k Oled for $1k today.

Should I pull the trigger on this or try and price match @ JB on the 26th?

edit: nvm JB doesn't stock it

  • Does it still have the issues with black screens and not waking up?

    • +1

From what I could gather from various reddit/forum posts it sounds like they’ve fixed the black screen problem with the latest revision. They also apparently proactively contacted some of those with the problematic revisions and asked if they’d like to swap for a new/refurb monitor.

I looked into it a bit during the Black Friday sale and ultimately bought it.

  • I got Dell to match this price online, just purchased it with my AMEX. We'll see if the $200 cashback comes through - I don't see why it wouldn't. $639.
