Oh nice! Where do you go to read the comments of the $0 books?
The Principality of Hutt River.
What I've done in the past is to go to the "Kindle Books" section and go "Low to High". With the way the website works nowadays, it can be a bit fiddly to find the actual pages to it.
The general steps:
So these days, I go "Kindle Books"and pick any book, click into it.
Somewhere near the top of that page, there'll be a bar that says something like "Kindle Store › Kindle eBooks › Mystery, Thriller & Suspense › Mystery › Cosy". From this, I click the "Mystery, Thriller & Suspense". I choose that one because it's the nearest to the
At the bottom of that page, there's a "See all results".
And then on that page I can start clicking the "Sort by: Low to High".
If you want to go back and pick a different genre, on the sidebar, there's the "< Kindle eBooks" tab, which you can click (At this point, I do recommend bookmarking the page, so it makes it easier to come back to).
And then you can filter by anyway you want. Genres, languages, authors, etc.
Just to warn you, not every free book is going to be a good book. Even if it's been rated 5 star, it doesn't mean it's good. But, in the past, I've been able to find some absolute gems that I have loved and even considered buying in paperback copy. Just be patient with it. :)
Have fun! :) Happy Holidays.
Thank you for a useful reply. Read one of my freebie books yesterday and it was worth reading but I’m not going to rave about it.
My pleasure. :)
Yeah, I have tens of thousands of free eBooks (that I've gotten over a period of years), just because I grab them when they're free, even if I don't really intend to read them. Out of the ones I've read… I'd say maybe 5% (at most) of them are books that I truly enjoy. A lot of them are just mediocre, and the vast majority of ones I've opened are just not worth the effort.
Especially with things like recipe books, and informational books. With the recipe books specifically, a lot of the times, it's clear to me that the author has no idea what they're talking about. Such as recipes where the steps don't make sense, or where the author will go against their own theme. I've skimmed through books of "5 ingredient" recipes, where the recipes will often have more than 5 ingredients. Lol.
But yeah, even though a lot aren't great, I think some of the books I've read are absolute gems and absolutely worth a read.
@CatherineG: I get books from the free libraries in our area and it can be a lucky dip as well.
With the 5 ingredient recipes they sometimes exclude stuff people are likely to have as staples at home.
Can't edit the above comment, so I'm adding it as a reply, to address my unfinished sentence: "I choose that one because it's the nearest to the "
What I meant by this that it's nearest to the "Kindle eBooks" link of that section. If I click on that bit, it will take me back to the initial category section, so I can't do the low to high thing there. However, if I click the "Mystery…" bit, it will take me to the page with the "See all results" portion, and from that "See all results" link, I can do the low to high. :)
Witch Hat Atelier is quite an interesting tale on the wizard/ witch fantasy genre.
These are some pretty good titles.
The USA link just gives me 'not available for purchase' any idea why? I'm currently in the USA, ironically.
Aussie link worked.
Good find op. I love the art and setting. Im in the vast minority but i though the anime was very meh
Thanks OP! 2 out of 5 books were already "purchased" in 2023- still yet to read them!
How do you guys find the $0 ebooks on Amazon?
