I think its decent price for larger display, NFC, Head phone Jack, larger battery, dual SIM plus SD card support.
Plus you can get 10 bucks off if buying through mi app

acceptable
is it just me or does 5G still suck always? i go out of my way to turn it off in my device settings because it's so unstable wherever i go, and this is in like inner-city sydney
My Pixel 8 Pro is 4G only unless there's the possibility of additional range.
Saves 10%ish battery per day I reckon.
5G coverage in my area is ass. My phone couldn't last more than half a day on full charge unless I disable 5G, and the connection quality is actually worse than 4G…

yes.
Just buy a Motorola instead for $148

You get 5G and a more modern chipset, MediaTek Dimensity 7025 for less. Physical sim plus eSIM.
The SOC in this xiaomi is from 6 years ago.
I wanted dual Sim physical
720p screen is too much sacrifice.
agreed
This g55 now sold out- any other recommendations for Motos?
Excellent travel mobile
Keep all you travel apps. on this phone
Physical travel Sim cards are easier to activate
Put Sim in, reboot mobile, activate date & roaming
Start using internet when travelling 🙂
How many years of security updates? Looks like to 2031?
No … Adaptor / charger included
Cable only
September 2025 released
205gms … weight
Man I just upgraded to an iPhone. It’s over $2k. I see this and have to wake myself up some time. Memory card, audio jack, low res but 120hz display and a 6000mah battery… and it’s $169 :)
OS be damned
Don't forget designed obsolescence on the Apples, you'll be buying a new phone again soon enough
Would this work as a second phone for doordash uber eats etc?
Yes ..
Pity you can't use esims with it.
Yes you can with esim adapter
Thank you very much for teaching us.
Greatly appreciated it.
Have watched some YouTube and
read information on it.
Buy the Esim adaptor once, can last at least
2 years or more - depending on usage.
Oz bargain member has written info. on it -
with other's adding comments - as at 2025

Personally, I travel internationally twice a year
and paying extra $5, for a physical travel Sim card,
which is easier to activate than eSim, sees better option for me.
Especially, as I only buy from Travelkon.
Thanks to their regular 25 -30% off sales and Sim is valid for almost a year from purchase.
No 5g🚫
