Newer version is out (Vader 5 pro) and only savings of $6 on normal price makes this a pretty niche deal

2.4 GHz could be good for cloud gaming… If your router could forward the signals to the cloud server

I own this. My experience has not been completely rosey.

TLDR: God tier precision, Bottom tier reliability.

    The good:
All the buttons have a nice tactile switch with a tight feel and short travel distance.
The triggers have the best implementation of hair trigger mode out of all controllers that have this feature, extremely short and precise.
The joysticks are extremely smooth and precise. Can set deadzone to zero and have no drift and have the finest precision.
You can dial in the joystick tension quickly to add resistance, translating into finer thumbstick control.
*Connection latency and poling rate are very fast… when it works
    swappable thumbsticks for extra precision.
Can have multiple profiles to suit different games

    The Bad:
My right thumbstick tension ring moves during usage, constantly requiring re-adjustment (I ended up hot-gluing it in place)
*Connection drops out occasionally. Eg you input turn right, and it does it, but, without any disconnection from pc, you will lose control for about 1 or maybe 2 seconds at most, during this time, the game will continue turning right before finally responding to other inputs. It not a disconnection, the game tells you when controller is disconnected.
Other times, it wont register an input at all, eg you shoot a single shot, but there will be this huge delay where nothing happens for about 0.5 - 1 sec, then all of a sudden your gun will shoot 3-4 shots. It does this the most often.
Updating drivers, updating controller firmware and clean install windows has not resolved these issues.
It also has temperamental connection issue when the dongle is among other usb cables also plugged into rear IO. to try combat this, I have the dongle plugged into a USB3.2 extension lead about 30cm away which seems to help.
Hopefully its something software and not hardware so they can can fix with a firmware update, but its been present for a long time.

Are the D-pad buttons dome-style switches like the official Xbox controllers or clicky like the GameSir Nova 2 Lite?

      • +1

Out of all the switches The D-pad is a little disappointing.
The dpad has mechanical switches like the rest of the controller and not the domed rubber buttons like xbox, but, the design of the dpad faceplate lends itself to excessive movement.

It has some play and/or flex kind of makes it feel on par with xbox, just with the added click of a mech switch, but its just a feeling.
The actual switch has really short travel time and activates pretty quickly, but because of the slack/flex, travel feels longer until you bottom out.
