Looking for a Cheap 27" USB-C PD Monitor

Hi OzB Collective,

Looking for a cheap 27-inch monitor with enough power delivery to charge my partner's M1 MacBook whilst also extending the screen.

I'm looking for a simple dock-less solution that will allow her to just plug her MacBook in at home each day. I'm hoping that one of these USB-C Monitors will be able to kill two birds with one stone of not needing a dock whilst also extending the screen and charging the MacBook.

There are a lot of options out there but I just want the most budget friendly one. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Bonus for any options with click and collect in Queensland.

    • This or the Dell 27" ?

    • Being a MacBook the text is not overly clear on a 4k monitor. MacBooks are better suited to 1440p monitors. Sure the graphics are not as crisp but the text is.

      • +1

That’s a hard disagree on that one. macOS at native 1440p looks rubbish, 4k is much nicer with scaling, 5k being optimal (but very expensive)

        • So you think text on a 4K monitor is clearer than a 1440p monitor? At 27 inch. If so what resolution do you suggest to run the MacBook at to be clearer as I have not found this to be the case.
