Haha this video is what reminded me of the ecovacs.
Bought one but returned it. YMMV but I had issues with streaks even with their included detergent. Ultimately its just a cloth dragging across the window.
Also don't underestimate the amount time you need to spend monitoring it and moving it around the house. Gets tiresome after a while!
I bought one of these and it works amazingly, there are no streaks, it actually looks like there is no glass in the window when you do both sides.
Did you moisten the cloth before starting cleaning as it specifies?
Yes it does tell you to clean the cloth every few panes, but you can gauge yourself if it really needs it, and ignore it if the cloth isn't dirty.
My only complaint is its too chatty, and you can't turn off all the BS prompts and "ecovacs" announcements/ads.
Check it in the right light. I'm debating right now over mine due to the streaks. Sure, looks perfectly clear… But from the wrong angles, very unclean.
I've tested their cleaner, Koh, Windex, isopro+water and am currently testing just water.
I apply Windex and then use their detergent. Just picked a brand new one from marketplace for $400. I'm pretty happy with the results, my only gripe is that it keeps getting red errors and getting stuck due to my frames being sometimes too low and needing to control it manually. But I'm okay with that as long as I don't need to manually clean windows.

I presume so, when you start it on the window pane, you can hear it making a vacuuming sound, then it lets you know its "firmly attached"
When you press the button to detach it, after its finished, the vacuuming sound stops, and you can remove it from the window pane.
