Very fun tactical RPG. Quite an insane colab when leaked before the announcement. It felt like a passion project. It starts off easy and progressively gets more difficult, it's not a typical Mario easy kinda game towards the end.

Never played the sequel which is the sparks of hope.

      There is a $5.99 season pass that should include everything in the gold (i think). So I reckon, give the base game a go and if it clicks and you really like it, you can get the season pass after before 11 Jan or wait until next deal

    Too keep things balanced. This has got to be the worst Mario game Ive played. Maybe I just don't like turn based battle games and it was very different from every other Mario game Ive had.

    Might be good idea to look into game play before buying so you dont get surprised like I did.

    FYI this game does 60fps on the Switch 2 (30 on SW1) without any update. Great game.

    Unless you would like a simplified or water down xcom 2, avoid.

    This is basically a watered down version of xcom 2 with a Mario skin.

    Also: it’s made by Ubisoft.

    These games are super fun, easy to learn entries into tactical rpgs… I'm a big trpg fan, and thought these were good fun. In my experience, mates who aren't also enjoyed them.

    Highly recommend this first game. Very satisfying and entertaining. Didn't gel with the second game as much.
