    $2400 for only a 5060? Tell them they're dreaming.

Depends where your priorities are… decent cpu and light/portable whilst still containing decent dedicated gpu costs $$

14" models usually ask for more premium pricing.. You can get the 5060 laptops on Xmas/BF sales for $1500 or so, but those are 16" models and much heavier than these but with arguably better cooling.

I was tempted by this a few months ago, the 75w limit on the 5060 kinda killed it IMO, the Legion 5 is a little bigger and heavier but not a whole lot and is cheaper while running it's 5060 at 115w. Depends if you prioritize performance or mobility i guess

    • apparently the power limit can be increased by flashing alternate vbios.

    • where can you get the Legion 5 cheaper?

  • Damn restocked the 5090 but no longer cheap :(

Pay an extra $100 and pickup this instead:

    • Ryzen 350 processor included is not as powerful… laptop also not as thin/light.

      • Fair point, but seems the overall benchmark score is super close.

        • Performance Rating (combined benchmarks like Cinebench R15/R20, 7-Zip, Blender, etc.):
        • Intel Core Ultra 7 255H: ~42 points (≈70%)
        • AMD Ryzen AI 7 350: ~41 points (≈68%)

        — Intel holds a slight edge overall.

        • The intel is much faster in single core performance. Which is often important for gaming.

  • sad i missed this deal any other light gaming laptops for travel for cheap? cant find any just big ones.
