This robotic vacuum cleaner is now $50 cheaper than the last deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/942663). It looks good and has good reviews, but I don't know much about it. It seems to be a good choice for me as I don't need the mop aspect of it. I was previously thinking to buy the roborock Qrevo L at $695 but I think I am paying much for more the better mop features on that model which I don't need.

If you have anything like gym equipment or rubber floor mats (like in a gym), or low-ish shelves, these things get mighty (profanity) stupid. We have the L50 Ultra which is (hopefully) meant to be "better" than this, but holy hell can a black bench press or black rubber floor mats (profanity) with it. Even once it's added the benchpress as an "impassable object" it still, to this day (probably every 2nd or third day, even though it runs every day..) tries to climb it and gets stuck. It will figure out the gym floor tiles are a passable "lip" (and then try to tell you they are carpet, so you have to edit the map every now and then to make sure it mops them), which is a yay moment, but then every now and then it will think it's climbing mount everest and sit there using it's feet climbing higher and higher up some invisible mountain, then eventually give up and just ram it at speed to get over the bump. We also have a sit/stand desk, so keep a fatigue matt under it. Every now and then it will think that it can't leave the fatigue map and will just go from side to side like it's at the top of a cliff, all while trying to label it a carpet rug. We also have an all-white box shelf in the bedroom, if we don't have something in the bottom shelf, it climbs into it and then thinks it can't get out. Super amazing stuff.

Also, it will try and assault your toes while you're working from home. It will clean allllll around you, then go up to your toes, pause, look at them like a creepy lil weirdo, then slowly back up. It sits there for a minute, giving you a false sense of security, then it will rush your feet like it's possessed by Evel Knievel and your toes are a ramp.

    • a false sense of security

Change the setting from "cat" to vacuum.

Would love to know how this compares to other vacuums in the 100 to 400 price range, just started doing research and seems to be a good buy. Anyone have one and recommend?
