    AI button lol

No warm lights for reading at night though, think it is overpriced and will come down

Good catch. The warm light is much more important than “AI”

      • Agreed. I'll definately be reprogramming the AI button to be screen touches or something like I did with my Nova 3. I bought a second hand Hisense Touch on eBay and recommend it to audiophiles in the market for one of these (decent built in DAC and headphone jack)

Downsides: it's old (Android 11) and doesn't have access to the Google app store. I think some of the newer Hisense eink phones do though. It's a shame they've stopped making new ones :(

    Would be nice without AI

Palma is better and I don't get why it is so expensive in general.
It is not a e-ink phone and a secondary niche device. I'd buy something like that for around 100-150AUD.
    example: xiaomi moaan inkpalm 5

    • have you seen the xteink? tossing up getting one of those vs one of the xiaomi moaans…

      • interesting concept, but a NO for me

Document: EPUB, TXT / Image: JPG, BMP / Fonts: BIN
        Does not support 3rd-party Apps

        I'm looking for Android only

Obviously these companies are just shitting out anything with an AI before the bubble bursts, but I'm also genuinely concerned for anyone that needs an AI button to assist them with a book or article they're reading. Are people this afraid to think about something for a minute without a constant ELI5?

I read a while back that some important e-ink patents expired last year. still waiting for the flood of quality cheap e-ink devices
