I have 2 beauties from different companies that I got on ozb deals. I dont know what to do with them because I have access to charger in car, home office etc. So now I charge the power banks and charge the phone from them to make use of them.
Personally I would only use them when actually needed as you don't know when there is a power outage or such.
There is the possible unforeseen chance you can use/need it in hospital, on bus, plaine or train, a camping trip
etc. If you keep it charged 40%-100% and below +-30 C they should last you many year (5-10) so nice to have
at least one on stand by.

on short notice to Cambodia 8 years ago which was a lot of fun).
I have a 120 watts cigarrette port USB charger and a 220V 1300 watts continous inverter that runs off car battery just for the power failure case. Pretty sure the hospital, Airports etc all have USB out or a 110/220 outputs. Moreover I got those beauties for my quest 2 vr headset that barely use now. haha. Also you should not leave them at close to 100. Ideally around 50 to 65% charge is where they are happy. And moreover in case of emergencies when I want them they will then be at 50% lol.
Not saying you should not have these. Having one lying around is always a good idea :)

meaning to have fairly ready to use when you need or want it. And for a small capacity and
cheap power bank like this, not much wasted if keeping one above 50%-80% over the years.

It depends on what you need. The capacity is still 10,000 mAh. The only real difference is the 22.5W compared to the 45W, this indicates the max charging speed but the total amount of charge is the same.
Keep in mind that only few phones allow to charge at that speed, most of the phones are capped at 25W max charging speed so having a power bank that goes up to 45W won't make any real difference.

These days plenty of ways you can utilise 45W if it's in a pickle like powering a tablet or laptop, or in my case a heated jacket.
It's been cheaper before, and/or the better one is the same price. Not much reason to pay this for this much anymore IMO, unless you are sick of missing the sales lol

It seems to be random or if you are lucky and the security person has common sense. They had signs checking it from the international flight transferring to a domestic flight to Shanghai about the CCC thing and the security lady didn't care after checking the back of it. Then on my return leg Domestic transfer back to international the lady at Shanghai decided she had to confiscate it because it was "made in China" and didn't have the CCC.

100% agree with this; it so frustrating that after years of dismissing genuine safety concerns as racism or political bias, the Chinese government response is to confiscate batteries from end user consumers, without any compensation.
If the consumer buys a non CCC power bank, and it’s later confiscated or deemed non-compliant, the financial loss falls entirely on the end user consumer, not the manufacturer or seller. The vendor loses nothing; the consumer loses the product and their money.

I also take issue with the fact that, as a manufacturer based in China, the company would be fully aware of the CCC certification requirements and the upcoming revised standard that will supersede the current CCC requirements. Despite this, they have chosen to include a blatantly misleading claim on their Amazon product listing:

This statement is materially inaccurate. There is no such thing as a blanket “TSA & FAA approved” consumer power bank certification, and compliance for air travel is conditional, not an endorsement. Making this claim appears designed to reassure consumers while bypassing the reality of certification obligations.
It is also well known that there is currently a significant backlog of manufacturers seeking CCC certification, with some products reportedly failing assessment and requiring redesign or improvement before approval is granted. Against that backdrop, it raises a serious concern that non-certified or non-compliant stock may simply be pushed into international markets instead.
This creates the impression that the manufacturer is willing to offload products that cannot obtain certification, prioritising revenue over compliance and consumer safety. The burden and risk are effectively shifted onto the end user, who may unknowingly purchase a product that is uncertified and potentially non-compliant, while the company still benefits financially.
At best, this is misleading marketing. At worst, it represents a deliberate disregard for certification standards and consumer protection.

Has anyone had issues with these being picky with the charger and/or cable? Mine arrived today and I went to plug it in (Anker 200w 6 port GAN charger, generic USB cable which charges other power banks, phones, iPads and android tablets etc, and a cable which came with a different Anker power bank), and it wouldn't charge. I got the USB-A to USB-C cable out of their box and plugged it in to Anker charger and it works, but it's a hassle that I'm now potentially confined to that single cable.
To anyone wondering about this, I think it's a case of the power bank being DOA. When using the right combo of charger and cable it looks like it's charging, but the charge percentage increases far too quickly to be real and when it reaches 100%, if I unplug it, it doesn't work and has held no charge.
Don't waste time ordering this beauty if you want it as the deal will be over before you know it.
