Anz has $450 back with $0 fees first year for their platinum card.

    • +2

Looks like i might need to apply for 2 CCs then

    • Have you got a link to this card @atom1319 as I wasn’t able to find? Cheers

    • +5

yea but ANZ's verification process is 💩

      • for real. last time i applied they requested for letter signed by my manager. auto generated one with company logo wasnt enough.

    • I got nearly 1k cashback from a deal with ANZ once and it didn't even feel worth it with the amount of incompetence they showed throughout the whole process. It felt like I was banging my head against the wall every step of the way. Had to visit a branch 3 times. Probably 15 phone calls. Every department blamed the other. I've done a lot of churning but I'd never touch anz again no matter what the reward. Absolutely no idea why anyone would bank with them

    • I've got this NAB card so applied for the ANZ card.

Got automatically approved, I didn't need to submit docs or verify on a call. I also received the card within 2 business days.

Some more details from the last time this was posted- took some people 6 statements before the cashback was issued

    • +1

Exactly the case for me. Took me around 6 months to get the cashback. Closed the account recently and will not consider it again. Better options elsewhere, such as ANZ (although process and approval is a bit annoying)

    • +2

Had this card before and cashback was indeed credited towards the end of the 180 days period (I met the spend requirement on the 3rd month). Support wouldn't help in getting the cash back earlier either.

This card is not a quick turnaround type.

    • Its true. I was one of them

    • Thanks for the info, on the same boat, have received 4 statements and still haven’t received the cashback

  • You can also double dip with the BT offer 0% 28 months with 2% BT fee once the card is opened.

  • +1

Sure it's fine but what a pain waiting the full 180 days (as I'm currently doing). Don't forget to cancel the card after you get the cashback but before the second year's annual fee is charged.

  • spend $5,000 or more on everyday purchases

What do they consider an 'everyday purchase'?

    • +1

      It's in the OP.

Everyday purchases exclude transactions NAB decides are wholly or partly for gambling or gaming purposes which are treated as a cash advance. NAB may vary or end this offer at any time. Offer is not available when closing or transferring from another NAB credit card account or in conjunction with any other NAB card offer.

      • Missed that, thanks!

Unlike most other cards, bpay payments are considered it seems. I confirmed this with NAB chat support during the last deal.

      • would you know if Bpay payments attract additional fees when paying from this NAB cc?

        • +1

          Nah they don’t

  • T&C doesnt say anything if I held this card in the past (closed Aug 2024), wondering if I'm eligible if I apply for a new card.

    • +1

BTW I logged in NAB and check the card product, it says no annual fee in the first year in cashback offer.

    • +1

I spoke to online chat who directed me to phone customer service who confirmed there doesn’t seem to be any ineligibility for closed-card holders (I closed mine ~July 2025) and they said it would be fine for me to reapply and get the cashback

      • Any idea if I could apply if I still have a low rate card from a couple years ago when there was a no annual fee for the life of the card promo?

        • No idea sorry!

        • Yep, i closed one in 2023 , then applied another one in late 2024 and got the cashback without issue - for some reason, they were delay with the cashback so I have to chase them up. Closed immediately after received it.

Will be looking into this one in about couple months later.

  • +2

I got the 400$ cashback in the previous run, insane amount ngl but they got me to spend 5k :P

I had to message them after 6 months and they initially said I applied wrong offer and won't get that but magically next day I got the money so a bit shady but ez profit.

This remins me, I gotta cancel :D

  • +2

Got this one on the previous deal with $0 annual fee. It took the full 180 days to receive the credit. It dropped on my account the morning of the 6th monthly statement being issued.

Government spend is counted, from other reports Bpay payments also count too, only gambling spend is excluded.

    • Good to know thanks, I wasn't sure if government spend would count.

  • +3

If you're an existing customer it's $0 annual fee first year for the $400 cashback offer and 0% BT for 24 months, 3% BT fee and $0 annual fee for first year and $30 annual fee thereafter.

Create a free personal account if you're not with NAB and apply after logging in.

    • Where do you see that? Can't find it in the Terms.

  • I already have Nab plat Card, can i still benefit from this offer?

    • +1

I had a Rewards Platinum card open while applying for this card. Closed the plat card 2 months after receiving the low rate card. Still received the cashback, I don’t think there’s anything in T&C’s against it. Only that it’s not available on transfer from another card.

  • Any idea if I’d be eligible if I have an active low rate card from a couple years ago ? Signed up during a no annual fee for the life of the card promo (along with cashback)

  • Does someone have experience or know using this for a one-off payment to Home Affairs for a visa, if that would fulfill the $5k spend, it'd be just a single transaction exceeding this amount.

    • Is that to a government body? I would be careful doing that. I know the T&Cs don't list anything about not qualify for paying to goverment like council or ATO but only list "everyday purchases" and paying visa definitely not in that category.

Better to check directly with them.

      • It is the Department of Home Affairs correct, I do wonder if you can get around it by doing a Bpay payment through a service like Sniip.
        Thanks anyway.

Just sharing this if it helps someone/churner.

    • I am holding a Coles credit card for many years.
    • Got Kogan credit card in the end of last year.
    • Got Nab low fee credit card last few weeks.
    • Applied Nab low rate credit card last week, got a call asking why I apply this since I just got a low fee card recently, honestly answered because of the cashbank. Received a SMS today advising it has been approved!

All above credit card are backed by NAB. So it seems that NAB is quite generous to me. (I applied a Westpac card last year and got rejected)

    • Did they confirm that you can get the cashback with the Low Rate card even if you have the Low Fee card? I looked at the fine print and it says nothing about exclusions from prior cards being held.

      • +1

no didn't check with nab. I will report back once I get the cashback

        • Appreciate it, planning to open one up for a total of $750 cashback.

  • Got this card nearly 2 months ago and have spent almost $3K so far. Can anyone confirm if paying council rate is counted?
