  • I didn’t know amazon did price beat.

    • OP used Amazon's Price to price-beat at Officeworks.

Yeah the title was different when I posted the comment.

Really puts into perspective how crazy good that $1697 deal was a couple of days ago

    • I agree….couldn't (and didn't) hit Buy quick enough!

    RAM is worth about $600 alone… :)

    • The Mac RAM price premium.

      • +3

No, this is usual DDR5 RAM from amazon.

Apple RAM tax is just normal pricing right now in the RAM market, makes Apple's prices look normal hehehe

  • After seeing in person between air and pro, I guess would just wait until m5 pro chip available and waiting the pricing error from OW

    • XD

lol for pricing error. honestly after using all 4 options (air 13 and 15, Pro 14 and 16) and I mentioned in my other comments in other deals, Air 13 is great if you don't do any creative stuff, and Pro 16 is great for creative stuff. Avoid Air 15. and get Pro 14 if you do creative stuff and work with external screen (hell, even air 13 M5 will do great with creative stuff on external screen). and also get Pro 14 if you can afford it and think that you need a Pro to send emails to your ex in-laws. After all Pro brings a lot of improvement over air (miniled panel, much better speakers, pro motion etc..). but air 13 isn't bad either, and is much lighter. so what your priorities are will drive hardware choice

      • Why not air 13 M4 with external screen? Performance is fine.

  • So tempting but I have a few programs that dont work on macOS, tried a yoga slim with intel chip last week but it was waaay noisier than my 2018 XPS15.

    • And we all appreciate you telling us your personal woes

        Thanks for caring

  • I am selling a 15” M4 16/512 for $1700, no luck at all.

    • It’s about $2k new from Amazon or office works, I think. I’m looking at that exact model at the moment and hoping for a deal ahead of some travel (claim TRS).

      • $2100 at JB. Would take $1600 so still $500 off.
Not impressed with the screen myself.
Would get a M5 pro if buying now.

        • I went into OW this evening to look at the 15inch in person. It's too big? I just couldn't see myself using it on my lap on the lounge or easily getting it into a bag if I need to go out somewhere with it.

          • @awaiko: We have both 13” and 15”

  • Keep in mind only some colours left at OW. If you want one be quick before OW changes the price and you are out of luck.

  • I bought a Open Return, 15" M3 Pro Max with 36gb Ram, 1tb for $2000. Was good as new. Thoughts on that vs something like this for essentially the same price?

    • Where did you get that? That is an amazing price!
