Times are getting weird, so is deciding what's a deal.

This is basically a rebranded for Amazon (literally the paint) Samsung EVO Plus, which is what you'd see sold in Aus: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/samsung-1t…

This other seller had it at $159 just a few a days ago, but bumped it up now: https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsung-Plus-Micro-Memory-Adapter/…

The same listing from AmazonAU (which was about $116 early Dec), has not been fulfilling orders and all are awaiting new stock, with no estimated arrival. (I had that order but I'm copping the +$10 to get it some time this year).

It's getting harder to find 1tb at discount, usually it's quite easy but it seems retailers are happy to sit at RRP and see how it pans out?

  • what do you mean by "rebranded for Amazon"? this version is only sold in Amazon?

    • Pretty much, just to create a different model, usually to avoid price comparisons on near identical products.

  • Can you install pc games onto this to play on a rog ally x? Any downsides?

    • You can. Somewhat slower loading speeds etc.

UHS-II would be better, but still not as good as the internal ssd.

  • All those spec numbers, U3, A2, V30. Is higher generally better on each?

    • some will provide faster RW speed or endurance.
you need to pick suitable for your need,

  • Thanks OP , needed one for my son's switch!

    • This card is only suitable for switch 1. Switch 2 needs micro sd card "express".

      • Thanks mate, aware of that :)
My son has a version of a switch which needs lots of storage (hopefully you know what i mean) , currently has a 512GB which is nearly out of space , pain would be on me to rebuild everything with a new sd card …lol :(
