Why not just use your oven set to 50 degrees to dry the filament?

    • Fair question. Almost all kitchen ovens aren't stable enough at low temperatures. Often times, they read 50° C but reach 65°C, melting your plastic.

      • You can also print filament while it is drying which is probably not feasible with an oven unless you modify it somehow. You can also store the dried filament in the unit when not printing.

      • Melt at 65°C??? 🤷‍♂
That's the bed temp. It's enough to 'usually' hold a print… but it certainly won't melt it!

The Sunlu SP2 is also in the MyTechFun filament dryer table here: https://www.mytechfun.com/filament-dryers (do not get it confused with the Sunlu S2 without the P)

    • Haven't done excessive research, but it appears the SP2 doesn't have a way to exhaust the moist air automatically, so you'll either need to open some of the holes while drying, or periodically open the lid to let the moist air out.

As mentioned in the My Tech Fun video, if you don't do that, the moisture will likely end up in the desiccant (if you put some inside), which you'd then have to regenerate/replace more frequently. Or without desiccant, it would just re-absorb the moisture.
