im paying $79 for 1000/100 on SL

Forever? Tell us how pls

i complain after 6 months

😂 I'll have to try then

What do you complain about?

You can usually save more by using a referral code.

Exetel is offering this 500/50 for $80. There is so much movement in prices recently with the NBN speed upgrades. I dunno now if I should switch to Exetel now. I have FTTP. Does Superloop own Exetel now?
:-)

Superloop are the owners of Exetel. Exetel is 500/50 and paid 1000/100 speed boosts. Superloop sells all speeds.
ISP 500/50 Price CG-NAT IPv4 IPv6 Static IP Support Speed Extras Exetel $80/m ongoing CG-NAT only Included Unavailable Online chat $1 per day for 1000/100 Superloop $69/m for 6 months ($95/m ongoing) CG-NAT can be turned off Included $5/m (optional) Online chat and phone 5 Free 24-Hour 1000/100 speed boosts a month and speed boosts can be banked up to 30 days
Hey Twix, just because I know you know your stuff with Internet pricing…
Is this SL offer cheapest for 1000/100 with Static IP..?Want to pump up those Upload numbers, so would like to get to 100…
(Could also work something out for a business account if needed)

$85/m for 6 months ($109/m ongoing) + $5/m for a Static IP @ Superloop.
$99/m for 12 months ($114/m ongoing) + $5/m for a Static IP @ Leaptel.
$105/m ongoing and includes a Static IP @ Neptune Internet.
$99/m ongoing and includes a Static IP @ Carbon Comms however they only have a Sydney PoP.

Only available in some areas.

500/50 is available anywhere with FTTP or HFC.
Plus most of FTTC and FTTN can be upgraded to FTTP.

True. I remember it was unavaiable when they introduced this speed 500 and now it shows ok. I guess time to churn.

Anyone move from Ultra fast iinet cable (eg. Geelong/Ballarat/Mildura) to NBN fttp?
I'm starting to get interested in switching to NBN fttp, which I'm eligible for, but don't want to fully commit until I know it's better than what I have currently.
Can I run these parallel and disconnect one once tested?
The idea of 100 up makes me happy as feel like this is a source of lag working online that doesn't exist when I'm in the office as opposed to from home.

iinet HFC and nbn FTTP can run in parallel.
FTTP is more reliable vs HFC.
FTTP has lower latency vs HFC.
FTTP has faster download and upload speeds available.nbn FTTP speeds: 25/10, 50/20, 500/50, 750/50, 1000/100, 1000/400, 2000/200 and 2000/500.
iinet cable speeds: 25/10 and 1000/50.

Do they rip off after 6 months 🥲

My existing $69 plan has jumped to $89, direct debit in a week:( called them and they didn't give any discount and basically said go elsewhere..

Same here. Churned to Arctel. Just set a reminder to provide 30 days notice.

Thanks for the heads up. Signed up an hour ago, just got the green light email 10 mins ago, and am getting 937.0/94.8 now.
(Churned from Carbon Comms, last speedtest this morning with them was 924.7/380.4 - was paying $120)

I just cancelled my Superloop with the 30 days.It was easy using chat and took under 5 mins. There's a few good offers around at the moment so i can jump on those.

Can I ask which ones? Currently shopping for a 500/50 plan.

Im going with Origin. Only for a few months though as they are pricey. But 10000 Qantas points is handy for a few months of internet.

The chat person told me they literally couldn't do it and that I had to speak to someone on the phone.

Can do it via the live chat function - a bot will walk you through the steps to give the notice.
They did say something about a team will still call you to confirm the change - which they did call the next day - I said I was busy I'll call back (I never did) and everything went through as planned overnight for me - churned to Leaptel. Was half worried the chat to what I assume was retentions team was still a necessary step but wasn't.

Perhaps the agent I spoke with in the chat was incompetent or just lazy. I find it deceptive telling me, a customer, that I have to call up or schedule a call back, presumably so they can try to give me the hard sell to stay, when in fact they were able to handle it directly through the chat all along. The person I did speak with on the phone didn't even try to keep me to stay when I told them I wanted them to match their own new customer deal. Their customer retention is a joke.

@tenpercent: Just had agent tell me the same thing, then "Teddy AI" gave me incorrect/outdated information for cancellation.
Fortunately phone line for cancellation is open until 10pm, though there is a need to choose option 1 (residential), enter in a pin they send out, then choose option 8 (cancellations).
I'll have to look into churning around a week before Superloop is disconnected on 5 March.

Just went to chat to cancelled, got a chat bot only and offered $5 discount. So I told go ahead and cancelled. The moment I finished, got a call immediately from the retention team. They slightly up the offer to $10 discount - I asked for the promo price for the Family Max plan $65, but he can only offered $85. Told them go ahead and cancell.
It's ridiculus that we need to jump thru hoops to do this - on top of the 30 days waiting.

Got an offer of $10 off + free unlimited home phone so I decided to stay temporarily. Somehow I got charged $1.10 extra for others. Not sure what it is for really. I know churning will save me more. But I will need to find another home phone deal or I just don't need it anymore.

Anyone know of cheap 2000/100 plans im with superloop already and they are tight asses, looking at Leaptel for 155 per month

my 6 months is expired, and they wont budge on a deal, so what are you all doing after the 6 months?

1 month free @ Buddy Telco and the 12 month deal @ Leaptel.

Just fyi . Be aware they have one month notice of quitting which I never see in other providers. And also not noted in their sale page

Not unique. Exetel do the same. TPG used to.

and Arctel

I'd read elsewhere on here that Exetel = Superloop. Will avoid both

Has anyone churned from telstra to superloop on 1000 plan if so whats their experiences my 69 discount has expired was thinking of changing

Superloop's service is TERRIBLE. Would not recommend.

Any ozbargain favourite modem/routers recommendations for the newbie to work with the basic plan?

How’s the ping for anyone that’s played games on their service? In Melbourne particularly.

17

7 - 12 on the northern side of Melbourne depending on the time of the day

anyone know what is the definition of a new superloop customer? I was with them 3 months ago

You shouldn't have an active service with them. You should qualify as a new customer

Been mentioned many times before but keep in mind these guys have a 30 day notice “requirement” for cancelling the service. Just set a reminder if you’re planning on churning.

They are not allowed to charge the cancellation period if you’re churning. They tried to do that last time I cancelled and their AI bot actually told me the ACCC has banned such fees… so I cut and pasted what their AI bot told me back to them!

I was on an old 100/40 promo that expired and jumped to $95/mth!
After speaking with chat, they've reduced to $85/mth and increased to 500/50.
I know it's not the cheapest, but i've found them to be very stable and reliable.

Customer service threatened to ban me accross all providers (bs i know) when I called to cancel my service after 15 months with them

can you share more of this……sounds like there is a little more to the story

I called to say I want to cancel, CS said I need to give 30 days notice, I said why, you're not providing a service why should I pay, she said it's the T&C (didnt know when I signed up and like many don't read the T&C). I said fine, cancel me in 30 days. She said what is the reason, can I offer you a better price to keep you. I said sure, what can you offer. The offer was worse than competitor as a new customer and I told her so. She said if you churn like that, I will blacklist you from the industry. I said go ahead and still cancelled the service.
Was polite but firm throughout, no reason for me to not be.

if you chum like that
Is that a phrase?
Regardless, terrible service from her. Is it possible she was just rogue? I'd have used the opportunity to speak to her manager and maybe get a good deal offered as compensation for crappy service.

@Frunk: I suspect so, just a rogue CS
But with that many providers out there, why would I bother with this company again
@cktftw: Ya so I signed up during 2024 Black Friday deal . Moved houses in March. Made sure I called them in March with 30 days pending. They offered me to move me on the same plan and told me I would be eligible for new customer plan in November 2025 since I moved and all. Honestly I exactly remember the pitch and I obliged and said oki. I forget about it and get a bigger bill in December. I call them early Jan reminding of their words. They told me they would get back to me after reviewing the tape as it wasn’t a standard practice. 3 weeks later no contact and then I call them to cancel they say they had replied in 2 days and all(total BS)! Manager had offered me 10 aud discount for next 12 months to which I said it doesn’t make any sense and asked them to cancel. They have told me they won’t charge me for 30 days notice. I am with a different provider now do the saga continues ! I’ll wait to see if they honour their words this time.

From what i've heard, the 30 days cancellation noticed means you'll still paying them for the next 30 days BUT your service/internet stops the day you want to proceed with the 30 days notice
Essentailly T&C for a service that is not provided
There is a Tiktok about this

still paying them for the next 30 days BUT your service/internet stops the day you want to proceed with the 30 days notice
No. You give 30 days notice you want to cancel your service and it finishes 30 days from the day you give that notice. You then have 30 days of continued SL service to hunt around for another provider. I did this recently with SL and it's clearly documented on their website.
You can switch to another provider within that 30 days if you choose, but you will still pay for the 30 days of service with SL.

She said if you churn like that, I will blacklist you from the industry.
Nonsense. That never happened.

I’ve price matches by calling them a few times an they’ve done it. Not sure if it’s changed recently but will give it ago again

Ive done it for a while until they didnt. So i moved on

I signed up with them on 5th Dec 25 and scheduled it for activation on the 5th Jan and they still can't get it activated to this day.

Might have to jump on this. Switched from Aussie to Tangerine (big mistake in itself).
Signed up to the 500/50 plan and have had endless drop outs, MAX speeds of 70/20 and frequently it's capping at 20/10. Logged 2 support tickets with them. 1 went unanswered and just disappeared, the other they tried to call 3 weeks after it was logged. I've only been with them 5 months and already binning them off
Haha, I just swapped from Superloop yesterday as my 6-month period lapsed..
For those interested in other options, I managed to get a 100/20 plan with NodeOne for $67/m for the first 6 months. Currently on sale for $72/m but gave them a call and asked if they'd be able to drop the price further, considering I already have one address with them. They said no worries and knocked off a further $5/m. If you don't ask you don't get :)

A 30-day cancellation notice is plain greedy! They will not pay NBN for the extra month if the client switches to a different ISP that still uses the same NBN backbone before the end of the billing cycle. Superloop is trying to capitalise on customers who forget to cancel 30 days in advance.

Everyone seems to be doing this now.

Their support isn't what it used to be and service is terrible, my service down for two days and they claimed it was an nbn fault. Nbn came and checked everything and said ISP issue.
I churned to another provider and all good.
Can I sign up and schedule the activation next month?
Mod Edit: Use Referral System.

Crap, i just moved to aussie broadband because my previous blackfriday sale ended.
i wonder if i can move back to superloop. i've literally been on aussie for 1 month
still on the tesltra deal, got 2 more months I think

I had ordered yesterday and connected same day , but my vpn was on. If i cancel and sign up again will I still qualify for cash back?

Might have to give leaptel the heavho. $110 is taking the p155

My partner is currently on a Superloop plan in her name. If I join up as a new customer at the same address in my name (different surname), would I qualify for this deal?

Yes, I did that during a Black Friday sale before. I think they may need a utility payment that has your name on it (ok with 2 names as long your appeared in it)
In case they ask, can tell them that the owner of that Superloop account (your partner) is moving out.

I’ve heard once you leave Superloop, you can’t come back on one of these deals for 12 months. Can anyone validate that?

what did their support say?

Just signed up to family max, $95 got tracked.
I was eligible for FTTN to FTTP updgrade, anyone recently had experience with that?

I signed up to this deal last month via topcashback for the $95 cashback. however, I'm moving to a new property next month (which has NBN FTTP connection), can someone confirm if I move my superloop account to the new address, will my cashback be declined?
TIA

So via chat they told me in April the price would go back up.
Threatening to leave was how I mamaged to get this price initially, so I'll probably stat making some phone calls soon.
I understand you totally about the new customer deals, and churning sounds like a complete pain in the arse to me. Not to mention Superloops shitty "You need to give us 30 days notice" thing
