series 4 is 9kg - bigger drum, so 1200 is probably same centrifugal force as 1400 on the smaller 8kg model

Bosch Series 2 is great. I recommend all 7 seasons, as well as the 3 follow-up seasons of Bosch: Legacy. Thanks Amazon Prime!

Have you read reviews about Breaking Bosch? That was followed by Better Call Bosch.

One of the best practitioner on planned obsolescence.

    • In what way?

        See link and many others.

        • So much fear mongering.

Focuses on a very uncommon issue of a seal drum and then another video highlighting the most expensive parts of any washing machine Drums/Tubs, PCB Boards and Motors and makes it out as if it's planned obsolescence.

I watched another video which is laughable, he thinks people giving feedback that doesn't support his ideas are "AI generated" and that people are using AI and phone farms to leave these comments on his videos…

He even uploaded a video 3 months ago saying how good a Bosch washing machine is for service access and how all the common wear and tear parts are cost effective…

There's a term called "The Tupperware Paradox" which perfectly describes why any of these manufactures of appliances and other industries can manufacture a quality product but need to draw a line somewhere.

          • @Retailing: I have no problem with a reasonably priced product that lasts a reasonable amount of time. I’m against overpriced items that don’t last long.

@seriousquokka: Bosch constantly ranks as one of the highest in reliability and covers such a broad price point?
And again to my previous point, they don't have planned obsolescence as you previously claimed.
If anything they have to be the easiest for a consumer to order spare parts from for those who want to repair goods themselves and they keep parts for 15-20 years which can't be said for so many brands.
