Are there any fully Australian made and owned soft drink?
I'm finding more and more are foreign owned but made in Australia from x% etc. Not really finding any that are 100% made here and owned.

Also Woodroofe (now owned by Bickfords), FC Grubb out of Gladstone SA.
There is/was Halls but now owned by Mondelez
Omg Halls. I didn’t realise that was still around.
Came back a year or two ago, but is/was mainly sold in small glass bottles for a pretty steep price (last time I checked anyway).
Halls is owned by Ballard Brands, a South Australian business that also produces Jolt Cola in Australia.
Mondelez owns a candy called Halls that is not related.
Even better! Hubby loves the stuff but I was a bit miffed when I heard Mondelez were involved.
Happy days ☺️
Saxby's seems to be stocked inconsistently at Coles/Woolworths… But at $2 for 1.25L they are worth seeking out.. I rate their Creme soda.
Isabella’s from Last Street is also made in Beechworth Vic.
They used to be the old Bilsons, before they separated.
Yeah wasn't too sure if Coke bought out their whole business but seems split between the booze and cordials.. still confusing..
I've enjoyed some of these before - but nothing to clearly state they're made here or owned wholly in AU.. i'll hit up their email..
Each product listing says Australian made but you'd think they would make a bigger deal about it if it really was
Also their origin story is full of BS
"They worked with the best-in-class biochemists and food techs"
They just cooked the drinks in their own kitchen I’m sure of it.
Crows nest soft drinks- I haven’t had them in maybe 2 years though as couldn’t find a local brisbane stockist anymore. Used to always have the sarsaparilla - otherwise wimmers pretty good too
Bundaberg
And as I found out don't be fooled by the ALDI version or other ones. They're just flavoured soda, not actually brewed ginger beer
Chilled and carbonated Warragamba cocktail, on the rocks.
yes finally!!
oh man, wrong “coke”
Red eye. Goat energy drink imo. (Sorry redbull)

Love their raspberry lemonade
They have the best portello, so hard to find though
Sigh. Back in my day it was the one and only Tarax. (Creamy soda was the best). Cheers.
100 percent. Glass bottles in the crates from the servo.
Tarax Sars was popular in my day
Soda stream with Australian made syrups?
The OG Hall's came back and uses Australian ingredients. Hartz too
I love Hartz drinks.. I wish they were widely available and cheaper. $4.5/bottle even in TAS where they are made, is quite pricey.
They're $1.79 for 1.25l at Shiploads in Tas. Prior to that Shiploads sold their own brand of soft drink that was just Hartz relabeled.
I didn’t realise you could still get Hartz
Shelley’s and Ecks…. Good old days long gone ☹️

I have only found them travelling through Western NSW unfortunately
Love their Splashe Cola. There's also Lillymans in Moree near the Artesian pools
If only you lived in Qld.
Golden Circle Factory Outlets (Capalaba and Morayfield) regularly have the Bundaberg brewed soft drinks on good specials. And stock them on a regular basis.
Woolworths had them on semi-special last week.
Quick, to the Tardis.
Personally, I don't care if the company is foreign owned, as long as their stuff is made here. It's called foreign investment, which is a good thing.
There's less chance of corporate tax-dodging if it is locally owned.
And less chance of profits heading off overseas.
@Daabido: Glencore mining pays 0% tax on $30billion
Why do I pay more tax (in absolute dollars) than them?
@furyou: Because you don't have a team of overpriced and underworked board members to pay millions of dollars to which you can then write off as an expense to directly reduce your taxable income.
If an Australian company has an operation in, say, America, where should the profits that they make there go?
It works both ways.
@tenpercent: Tone.
If an Australian company with an overseas operation sends it's profits back to Australia, a foreign company operating in Australia can do the same. Profits belong to the shareholders, owners and investors, not the country they operate in
@R4: And Australian owned companies operating in Australia are more likely to spend their profits here.
@tenpercent: Sure, but an Australian company, with Australian owners/shareholders operating in, say, America is going to send its profits back to Australia. Just as an American company with American owners, is going to send its profits back to America.
It's not an issue IMO.
@tenpercent: That's free market capitalism for you.
Foreign investment means profits going offshore - it's always been thus, forever, everywhere.
Sure, but that's down to government to have the right laws to stop this but so many Western countries (not just Australia) allow this to happen. As long as you have countries like Ireland that have 15% corporation tax (and others that have even less), this is going to happen. Maybe we should follow Ireland, it's worked for them
Tasmania.
Hartz.
Delicious soft drinks.
Available at Coles in Tassie.
Do they do anything with sugar? Doesn’t have to be super sweet but all the sugar free tastes funny to me.
There sugar free is a result of natural process, no added artifical sweeteners.
Schweppes Cola
Are these on Amazon or how do you get them?
