Where did you bring it?
I bought a couple of these recently, so might be able to help.
I bought this one first, and it's labelled Bellroy, feels decently well made, and I really like the buckle on it.
I also bought this one which was admittedly more, but it's really solidly built, very well made and very nice to wear. Also labelled Bellroy, and came with labels and other bits stuck to it that really made it feel like a genuine item.
I'm happy with both to be honest. I bought two thinking that if one of them is a piece of &%$# I'd hopefully still get one good one, but they both ended up being really well made.
I just went and took another good look at them - they came about a week apart and I hadn't actually compared them closely before.
The first one has the magnetic buckle like the current Bellroy sling does. Reviews of these are hit or miss, and I haven't actually used it enough to have an opinion either way. The first one is a lighter material - still seems waterproof, and the zips are the same waterproof style as the genuine ones.
The second one is much heavier duty. It uses a traditional clip, and the material is like a mid-weight canvas. Watch this Youtube video … it's exactly the same as the second one.
@BeanCounter: I just realised above that my brain went faster and I missed typing something - I meant to write that the reviews of how well the magnetic buckles work over time are hit and miss and I don't have an opinion myself yet. I like the mechanism though, and it seems to attach well enough for my needs.
As far as size, I'd say that they're as close to the same as I can guess without having to measure. The more expensive one has a better interior set up - it has a couple of small open pockets on one side where you could stash cash, tickets, credit or transport cards, SD cards etc, and a zipped pocket. The cheaper one has the zip pocket, but nothing else.
*** actually, I have to correct yet another thing I wrote above. That video shows the material of the second bag, but the video one has a magnetic clasp. The one from Ali has a traditional push in buckle, but it's thin and as wide as the strap so it doesn't stand out and actually works very well.
I realise my messages are probably not helping as much as I had hoped …. if anyone is interested, PM me a phone number and what you'd like to see, and I can text through some pictures or video chat to show what it looks like.

JB HiFi missing out by not selling red sports shoes to go with this bag…
Anyway, if you would like to know a bit of JB HiFi trivia here is the first real JB HiFi commercial premises: https://maps.app.goo.gl/KAnddjyFHsaedekDA?g_st=ac
It started in the founders garage, after a couple of years or so moved into the shop on the left (when facing it from the street) and then eventually through to the two shopfronts to the right as it expanded….
Is it called a bum bag because you wear it on your front bum?
In the USA they're called a fanny pack….
…because over there, fanny means your arse.
Not… your minge.
So what will jb hifi sell next, clothes. They have lost the plot.
Bellroy slings are chap on AliExpress. Mine is great quality. Is it authentic? I honestly donβt care because itβs just a cheap bag at the end of the day.
