I'm even willing to bypass the use of bold to like that comment!

Whats it feel like to know that you've peaked this early for your best comment of the year?
Its all down hill from there.

      Crocodile tears?

the moment arrived, when everyone upvotes jv :) well played !

    • Although, "in a while crocodile" is probably more apt as I don't think that the logo is an alligator.

      I would not tolerate that…

These puns are getting a bit too cheesy for my taste.

      • You're really on fire today @jv

    • I see that too

Terrible timing, you'd think they'd wait till after the Australian Open at least.

    • Sounds like they are ONLY doing in person sales. Not online

didnt even know they had a website that customers could buy from - i've only ever bought lacoste from chain stores or amazon/catch

"They" are True Alliance, who have handled the Australian distribution of brands including Wranglers, Lee, Speedo, Ben Sherman, Nautica, The North Face, Lacoste, Rockport, UGG, Teva, Coach, Gap, Banana Republic, Ellesse (though some of those partnerships have ended).

Likely relates to Accent Group taking over as the local distributor.

    • What is it? Amateur hour with the AO starting.

    • You would be spot on.

Why do all bad things happen on Jan 6th?

    • What else happened?

Sherlock Holmes' birthday (not a bad thing imo)

      • January five ended?

  • we will cease to sell Lacoste products via the lacoste.com.au website

    But why?

      They Lacoste too much.

As a rich nerd who hates tennis, I mock people in this brand as Lowcost. I only wear Lewis Vuitton darlings.

Lacostes decline aligns with the rise of its competitor Lacostely. A company that would give you its t-shirt of its back, and thats no croc.

Their website has probably had more traffic in the last 24 hours than they have had in the last 12 months with all the Ozbargainers going to check it out for one last the first time.

I have a wardrobe of Lacoste wear, thanks to this website. The regular 50 per cent off sales were great and took the gear from outrageously overpriced to merely expensive. It's also a brand that isn't popular here and I was quite fond of the chic designs. Not sure what my options are now.

    • Ditto! Hopefully they still have good sales once the new website is live 🤞
